That's why it reads Community Manager. They can feed you your own poop and you will like it (when they are doing their job correctly). Seems that she is ;) Stop whining. |

It would be nice to see a sense of urgency once in awhile from the Devs/management, with respect to dealing with serious issues, such as the current condition of the server and it's inability to support fights on the same scale that it was able to a year ago.

*finger wags*
Play nicely.
In all seriousness, the reason for the lack of blogs at the moment is due to vacations, and we traditionally do not have a lot of blogs during this time of year. A large portion of our developers for EVE are based in Iceland, and like a number of Europeans, holidays are generally taken during the summer (which is a bit of a culture shock to Americans, who generally don't have the same number of vacation days).
One of the tasks that I handle is the scheduling of blogs. This is why you'll more often than not see me publish the threads in the EVE Information Portal channel announcing our newest blog. We currently have several technical blogs in the works which will provide much more detailed information into the work we have been doing in regards to the lag issues all of us have experienced. CCP Atropos recently mentioned that he has drafted a dev blog. His is one of several we have planned. I have read his, and am quite excited by the work he's been doing.
I am an EVE player first, ACM second. I believe in EVE and our corps of engineers who have been working tirelessly on tackling the lag monster head on.
Edit (adding content): Shadow rightly pointed out that ACM may not be a known acronym, as some of you may have signatures disabled. It stands for Associate Community Manager.

So that will be a blog about what is causing the lag and that you'll need 18 months to fix it?? Sweet, can't wait

Yeah it would be rather weird you saying that its not exciting at all, but what the heck i'll still just publish it Nothing in education is so astonishing as the amount of ignorance it accumulates in the form of facts. |

Dear CCP Queen.. uhm i mean Fallout,
we all know it is hard to let go sometimes, but would you pretty please consider giving the devblog back to CCP Atropos, so he can publish it to all of us?
i know, i know, its a quite precious one, but its for all the children, not only you!
If i had knowledge of a devblog you hadnt read before, i would share too!
thanks CC aka PP.

Oh Captain, my Captain.
The reason is simple: the tech blogs are dependent upon one another so that they make sense. Think of it as a group of interedependencies, if that makes sense.

Actually, there is supposed to be some aspect of it coming in the next expansion. They just haven't said what exactly yet. Probably related to the new Avatars, IMO.

they've pretty much said it's the new avatars. however that's more related to 'new effects' rather than anything to do with any kind of walking, which is what incarna is supposed to be about

The next expansion would almost have to have part of Incarna in it, the Devs aren't working on anything else.

I said the first of the incarna releases. try to control your emoizm. I know its hard to do what with sitting in your outpost all day spinning your unusable supercaps and endlessly raging.

yeah, I agree I'm a little too negative. let's just hope the new effects include a better cyno and ships' engine trails. if that happens I'll be happy

They better have something meaningful thats not incarna or dust related(unless of course the stuff you listed is actually part of the first incarna release but meh the idea is the same) if they want to take back the forums. Even I won't tread the gd after the patch if nothing worth a damn is put into the next release for the average eve player who isn't interested in incarna and dust.

Did he SAY station spinning? Personally I find spinning ships in space to be much more fun than station spinning.
