Alright, im just curious on what you guys think is the best >>>ARMOR TANKING<<< Faction Battleship, and why. I'm looking for a ship that i can chose to solo with [if im feeling stupid] and go out with fleets in [all in high sec].

Mach, Bhaalgorn, Fleet Typhoon, and Navy Geddon would be my first choices.

Not endorsing it myself but I'm curious why Liang wouldn't include a vindicator on that list given it's wtfpwn dps.

Bhaalgorn, effectively a full rack of neuts plus ~800dps, insane web range, insane HP, etc.
NavyGeddon, Abaddon levels of EHP plus ~250dps, can do 1000dps at 45km, huge drone bay (Ogres, Warriors, EC-300's), and a utility high.

Sure, a ship with a lil more dps , a lil more speed then a standard matar bS(after being faction fitted) is awesome and stuff... but a BS being able to alpha anyone's cap to 0 3 times per minute is a bajillionfold better then the next neut ship....
Not to mention the web bonus.......which is totally overkill...
Dang i wish we get neut ewar BS instead of the apoc

Yes, because any Machariel pilot with half a brain would engage a bhaalgorn within neut range.. learn2teamwork.
Dedicated tackle = win. arazu/rapier, you name it. If you are flying a mach solo you deserve to lose it.
Even IF you fly a mach solo you should still be able to kite hostile gangs and pop their incoming tackle before it gets within tackle range and then either make the hostile bhaalgorn warp out cuz hes about to die or you warp out cuz hes about to get in range.
Learn2kite.

best pvp faction BS does not mean which would win against any number of 1v1 duals with other faction BS, thats ******ed.
The mach is more mobile and therefore has the advantages that come wiht being fast and being able to control range.
The bhaal has staying power and savage disabling bonuses.
I expect both would do extremely well vs any average pvp situation.

It depends on how exactly you are using it, but I agree with this. I would like to see a triple repped hype vs a vindi though...

As a Vindi pilot I'll say its not all that easy to cripple with neuts. If you use a dual boosted set up and know how to time your boosts its ok. If you run into a full blown neuting fleet set up to kill you then yes you are dead. But then again any fleet specifically set up to destroy a ship will usually succeed if they have half a brain. But I know I have taken on a neut domi with a handful of canes (Each one with 2 medium neuts) and I was ok. Was definately a bit nerve wracking since I hadn't fought with the vindi against neuts before but it was doable. That and the fact that you have the DPS to absolutely shred most ships means you can usually cut the neuts out before too long.

OP,
Bhaalg & Mach are pretty much uber, but something that's worth considering is how relatively inexpensive the Fleet Phoon and Fleet Geddon are. I bought my Fleet Phoon for about 1/3 the cost of a Bhaalg or Mach, and really, those other 2 aren't THAT much better. Having said all of that, for High Sec Pew Pew, you'll love the Fleet Phoon. It is beastly and is surprisingly fast for a big flying trash can (I think only the Mach is faster), damn near perma runs 3 Neuts (2 heavies) while spewing out resist hole-specific torps. You can easily fit a flight of Heavies plus GTFO Vespas and still have room to spare. All this for around 350 mil plus rigs and mods.

Shield mach is truely awesome. Go 2km/sec, hit out to your lock range, heavy nuet. Never flown a armor mach and never intend to =P
