If there are any out there with good RR gang Geddon fits, I'd appreciate some pointers, I am aware there are better RR boats, but love the geddon and if I have to roll in a big armor tank, might as well do it in style :). Thanks for the pointers all.

First of all the geddon is arguably the best rr battleship. high damage, 45km range with scorch, excellent armor tank and 5 sentries. The phoon is also very good but personally i'd go for the geddon.
Secondly the fit posted above isn't optimal, your better off dropping the repper to best named (bit less rep, less cap use) and changing a adaptive nano plating to another 1600mm plate (more ehp).

Was too lazy to alter a previous fit. Anyway, RR works better with higher resists AND have you seen the price on 'Solace' RRs lately? Lol. However I didn't realize how much PG I had left. Oh well. Also you need a CPU implant for another plate, just sayin'. Yeah I am a pirate. What are you gonna do about it? Killboard link is not allowed to be used in a signature.Applebabe

BTW it's worth it to drop some guns down to DHPII's to be able to cram a heavy cap booster on there. Lasers + RR will murder that single medium booster. ________ Chicago players channel: 'Windy City'

Depends how you want to fit it tbh, if you really want to fit a scram then you can downgrade the dc II to a named variant (still needs 1% cpu implant), with a pseudo dc and an extra plate your still getting a little over 10% more ehp (assuming all armor comp still are at 5, if you donĘt have armor comp skills at 5 then the extra plate gives an even greater advantage).
Lets say hypothetically you fit a geddon with a sensor booster rather than a point (for cpu reasons). Your fit with armor comp 4 gets a little over 88k ehp, changing an anp to a plate gives almost 103k ehp. Its pretty rare that the extra rr tank provided by the third anp will mean the difference between victory and defeat.
Tbh you donĘt really need to fit a solace rr, any other named variant will do.

Thanks all. A little different than what I had been angeling towards but thats why I asked, wasn't sure if I was doing it right LOL. I had been trying to fit a little more cap stability on it but looks like thats not the way it's normally done. Will meddle with it some more. Good input's.

Edited by: King Rothgar on 11/08/2010 06:59:23 Below is my standard pvp geddon. It does around 1100 dps with a single t2 RR and 5% hardwirings. The medium cap injector does not make it cap stable but I'd be stunned if you ran out of cap without being heavily neuted. The point and web are optional of course, I view all ships as tacklers since I favor small gang/solo. But obviously you could swap those for a sensor booster or ECCM. A speed mod will not fit without downgrading guns however. I think my fit is reasonably cookie cutter and will fit in well with any armor RR gang.

Rothgar is in lowsec, 95% of all fights happen in gate range, where scorch will reach almost everything. I use my geddon as a immoble battle station also, as mobility is not always required.

There is only 1 decent rr gedon fit - and its called abaddon. Resist bonus is really THAT good when it comes to rr /dont forget that armor link bonus stacks too!/, gun damage is also more reliable than drone damage /imagine lowsec gatefire or bomb in 0.0 etc.../ and 1 more midslot.
Ofc baddon has its disadvantages - no.1 is cap - if fight lasts more than 5 mins you can end without cap boosters and you are very vulnerable to neuting. But id still take baddon over gedon.

Fixed. Pretty much standard 0.0 toy for RR gangs. If you are rich (lol) enough put centii/corpii c-type ANPs there (1 or 2) - they are almost same as t2 EANM. 2/3 plates depend on how large is gang and how much hostiles you think you will meet. The larger/more -> put 3rd 1600mm. One DHP t2 is only to get enough CPU/grid if you find fitting issues (i usually carry 6xMP + DHP because i used to swap rr for heavy neut).
EDIT: apply named mods where possible if CPU is short. Also think about sentries (tho i personally prefer plain ogres or zerkers t2).
