Make the game roll on each one in the stack, so the next idiot who loses 20 bil ISK worth of stuff can't (realistically) leave the hard working pirates who killed him SOL.
Think of the CHILDREN!!!... (of the pirates, who now have to actually EARN their subscriptions).

Why?
It is so fun seeing people foaming and fuming at the thought of so much lost loot. 
BTW: the guy was a war target from the player that killed him, so it was not pirating.

I'm torn. On one hand there's the fact that The 0rphanage chaps popped the wreck anyway, before they knew what it had been carrying, to stop ninjas from yoinking it. And the thought of the tears we could have seen when The 0rphanage chaps realised they had blown up 27b of PLEX that could, potentially, have been theirs makes me giggle a bit.
On the other hand I couldn't give a toss if stupid people end up padding CCPs wallet.
Six of one and half a dozen of the other really.

im of the opinion that each item should always /roll for drop. 100 of any item should randomly drop whatever the drop rate is... if i fit 8 megapulse to my abby and it blows up, a roll is done for each gun.. why not for items in the cargo?

the KM says API Verified. so unless everything is faked then this is real.
I have no sympathies here, one should know that even moving a few hundred mil ISK value items around in Jita is not something that you do in something that cannot warp fast or at least take the hits until CONCORD arrives.
and for the love of all that is profitable, dont move **** of extreme value if you are at war on a character that is at war.
