Faucets:- NPC bounties
- NPC buy orders
- Mission rewards
- Ship destruction / Insurance payout
- GM actions
- Reimbursement for lost pods
- Character creation
Want me to list the sinks as well? Quote: so CCP should pay attention to PVE aspect.
They are. You just have to accept the inherent PvP nature of EVE to get to it. ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |

I spend $50ish on STO when it first came out , i lasted 17 hour before i deleted it from my compter that includes 12 hours sleep, pve was fun for about an hour or 2 , as for the walking around in stations i hope EVE does it better as that look like 10 year old game play... OMG that was so bad.

think out what your gonna say before saying it and you'll look less stupid
i tried the trial for star trek. I didn't like it, and yes EVE is a pvp centric, you grind missions to afford ships. so you can go blow people up
why get on a MMO just to run missions. that, imo is insane

i like the pve aspect of sto way way more. as for buying ships shepard. you talkin about the old constitution class one that came with buying the special expensive boxed set?
and yeah they have quite a few things in their real money shop. its all eye candy and just to make the game more enjoyable. ive looked at the eve shop, they have items too tho most of them are not in game stuff. hats, ship models, etc
both are for the added enjoyment of the player. nothing else. sto just messed up big time letting you get max level in 3 days. i have quite a few admirals. i enjoy both but to choose it every players personal perference
for me u can take pvp and stick it so guess im more a fan of sto

This is madness. You cannot discuss such things on eve-online forums.
I will invoke the wrath of CCP ADIDA, SHE WILL DESTROY YOU ALL. You and your precious STO. - It's not "Play through a pre-set story, become stronger, do endgame". Gameplay is open ended, and you make your own story. Unless you're too afraid of 'pvp grief' to do anything relevant |

The PvE side of eve could use some love for sure, but STO is a tragic use of that License. I'd love to cryptic go out of business and CCP buy that game and revamp it so it was an eve style universe with star trek content. I think that is what everyone wanted it to be...sadly the combat was apparently the only thing they thought they needed for launch. Combat is entertaining but there is nothing to fight over. You're flying around in a show box. That whole game is maybe the size of one eve solar system. It's pathetic.

Edited by: Merin Ryskin on 15/08/2010 00:13:57 How to have all the fun of STO without the rest of the game:
1) "Buy" a copy of Starfleet Command. It is no longer sold in stores, but I'm sure all of you are smart enough to find a place that still "sells" it.
2) Enjoy the Star Trek starship vs. starship game that STO dumbed down for their combat system.
Fortunately I discovered this by playing the beta for STO, so I saved a bunch of money when I realized that the only reason I was having any fun with STO was because it had been so long since I had played SFC. And then I dusted off my copy of SFC, and deleted STO without any regrets. -----------

PvP isn't just shooting and killing people. If you only want that, why not play something like CoD, Battlefield or CS?
Try to understand the game before trying to change it.
Hint: You can win at poker without killing anyone.

I'm not in the business of judging or comparing a game without having played both. Now being a big fan of games in space I do enjoy EVE and I did enjoy STO but EVE has one MAJOR advantage over STO.
It's playable!
When I encountered the STO's version of Jita it lagged so bad I thought the server went down. The lag I encountered in this section was enough to bring the game to a dead halt, as a matter of fact I'm STILL stuck in that area and have stopped playing. Guess I'm back to EVE.
