This is the saga of how one Proteus wandered into Raum and jonny on a wormhole while they were out scouting, and after an epic clash, died. Jonny and Raum shot up the Proteus, the H contingent started juggling bookmarks and making their way towards killmail-whoring, and then more hostile DPS showed up. Jonny could really use a hand! DPS and ECM flails its way towards the battle, aided by the bookmarks inexplicably going topsy-turvy for sembur and various DCs. We get there, we start melting face, and they land yet more reinforcements with one Guardian. There is another Guardian on dscan. After a debate about whether or not to fall back, we continue punching faces.

The slugfest continues. We can't break their Guardian reps but we can make them busy. They sit at 50 km for a while, then venture into our bubble. We start playing musical targets to confuse the Guardians, and hammer a few things into hull before the Guardians save them. They very slowly force a couple of people off the field in low armor, some of whom reship and others chill on thw wh to provide a warpin. We form up some Guardians of our own, who land, rep the injured, and join the fight. It turns into a stalemate; they can't break us by a long shot, and it's going to take us a lot of forcing their Guardians to play Guardian Hero on expert mode to be able to inflict enough hull damage in between hostiles being repped up to full. Still more reinforcements are arriving, so we hope to neut and DPS them to death.

Suddenly, a wild Archon appears! And jumps right on through the wormhole. We jump after it, sensing a lockout trap and also CARRIER. The entire fleet RAMMING SPEEDS at the carrier. Some of the hostile fleet jumps after, gets shot at, and all but the original Proteus makes it back before the carrier jumps back. So we consume the Proteus and its pod at long last.

(...) The exact order of the following items is fuzzy in my memory

• We have two guardians and folks are looking for a third. The guardians we do have don't quite have their stuff worked out.
• Johnny jumps through and bingo. Pulsar, and a whole lot of shiny and explosive **** is sitting on grid with him waiting.
• There is a Poll posted on the forums about whether or not we bring a carrier to support us.
• The poll is reset and a revote is called for as the corporation needs to decide which carrier to bring, which could possibly be none. Kwashi says Asay is bringing his, and the polls close.
• I see a single Tengu decloak, and eventually approaches the hole, and this is announced on comms.
• Folks warp from the deep safe 40 some AU with the fleet.
• Kefka's gate cloak and he is jumping back into.

Kefka is clearly running things on comms. He has said *I am back in * and a bunch of other really helpful things. Folks are asking who to warp to. that's adrenaline for you.
I drag/drop him into fleet chat.

The badguize bring a wall of targets in and break gate cloak, ready to catch him. I'm about 25km off the hole. Not quite as far as I would like to be with that size of a force but whatcha gonna do. When I see Kefka's gate cloak drop I count "one-thousand-one" and drop my cloak and start locking targets to jam based on the threat vector while the cavalry is warping in. It doesn't look good, cuz they have a lot of ******* DPS and I only get 2 of my initial 4 jamms off (Brutix and DPS Tengu).

Kefka goes pop after folks land and start dishing it out, but Kwashi calls targets like a pro starting with the Rook which disappears from my overview and then the Basilisks. I change tactics from mitigating DPS with jamming to breaking their cross tanks. I never get a successful jam off on the Thanatos but didn't pause long enough after the first failure to see if it was a failure to activate (Triage) or just a failed roll. I get one success on jamming the non-primaried Basilisk, and fire focuses, but the Thanatos manages to rep up the damage. Kwashi switches just as my jam drops, and we get the Basilisk.

I'm not seeing a lot of support ships left on their side (one basi, what I now confirm is a triage carrier ... think that was it) so I go back to gleefully letting their Brutix or Phantasm or one of the Drakes reestablish locks before I drop another jam on them.

Their targets generally jump when they get low in tank, but the Phantasm just gets overwhelmed and possibly caught too far off the hole.. They start mass-withdrawl back into their Pulsar where we are NOT going to persue in our armor gang. Someone(?) brings up the fact that the hole is Critical. Someone else(?) suggests sending a battleship through.

Shake says "I'll do it."

Hole crashes with their Thanatos still in triage.

Thanatos tanks pretty well against our focused DPS and there is yammering on mumble about self-desctructs, bringing baahlys and curses, and mass remaining on our hole. Then he comes out of triage, his tank starts to fail spectacularly.

We kill the pod.

When I go to turn off my plate on my falcon before jumping I discover it's offline (derpa derp wonder why a drake and tengu were melting me so fast...). :facepalm:

Had a run-in or two with ADHC, they're great guys who know what they're doing.

(...)It started when I was probing in the static. It had a million and 1 sigs. Everyone else was doing sites in the hub. I probe the static (c5>c6) and sit on it as I probe the rest of the system. Later I hear an activation. Its an AHARM cloki loki. Eventually they probe our exit and a covops jumps in, it ***** it's pants as we have a welcoming party. Covops jumps back out. We attempt to kill it but don't. We chased it out of hub which is important, but they already have the bms.

The c6 turns out to be nova.

Both sides marshal forces. Intel reports sheild fleet w/ 3x basi, chimera + lots of sleps and assorted dps arriving on their static.

AHARM holds chimera in nova, warps support fleet in w/ basis to our hole. They jump into hub. We primary the phantasm, he jumps out. AT who was cloaked drops a bubble, I had been waiting as back tackle as well. I decloak in my legion we point him, but soon the rest of the AHARM fleet jumps out as well. They primary me as I was off the hole, holding point on the phantasm. Our fleet doesn't follow right away because the guardians were off the hole. I overheat my ab since I was scramed and make it back into H in low armor. Our carrier gives me reps and after waiting out part of my polarity timer, I jump back out to help the battle that is now under way on the wormhole, hopeing they would not notice me.

Luckily w/ all the ships on the field, they don't notice I was polarized (~2 mins). By this time they have brought in their chimera. We try to work through targets but most other than the phantasm and dictor are too tanky to break w/ the enemy's 3x basi and 1 chimera, even when switching primaries multiple times. We get a few others into low armor or structure, but they eventually get repped.

We were out gunned and out repped. ECM and some other ships are having to jump to avoid going down. Even guadians and FCs need to jump. We switch FC's pretty well.

Some forget polarity timers and get stuck.

At this point I noticed their were a few explosions and we were not breaking their reps. This ment we were losing ships/dps while not being able to break them. A part of me says to run, but others keep fighting, so I keep fighting while staying in jump range.

Later they suicide jump a rev into Hub, crashing the static. Some jump in after it, others are already back in Hub. The hole crashes before I am able to get in. Damn. I start motoring away in a direction w/o many bad guys. I overheat my mwd. I get out of point range of all but one ship. I notice that a slep has overheated his point on me. I keep my overheated mwd burning as he and the rest of the fleet chase after me and other stragglers. I'd like to think them chasing me allowed others to escape. The slep overheats as well, and is soon on top of me and I have burned out my mids. The main fleet closes. I eject and get the pod away. They steal it along w/ a guardian. They retreat to nova and squeeze back into nova which is stage 3 and crash it.

So last night we noticed an incoming K162 to our home system. Through it was a C5 and connected to that C5 was Adhocracy, who are always fun to tangle with. They tried to catch our scout in their home system, and had a decent size fleet around, so we decided to jump in our rarely-used shield tank ships for the LOLs and blow some stuff up. We gathered up a couple of basilisks and 10 or so other shield ships and jumped into the C5. No sign of adhoc, so we warped to their hole. When we jumped though, they had 8 or so ships there, including 4 or 5 guardians, and just as we jumped in, an archon landed. We pewed for a little bit, but figured we couldn't break the triage tank, so jumped back into the C5. They followed us, leaving the carrier on the other side, and we shot at each other for a while. We also brought up a triage chimera, which was huge.

We were able to break tanks on stuff that didn't have good resists, like ECM Tengus and Falcons, though most of their ships jumped back when in low armor. We decided to close the hole on them, and brought up a rev to jump through and back (we hoped), but just as the rev was landing the hole went below 50, and a bunch of them jumped out before the rev could jump. When it jumped, it trapped 5 or 6 of them on our side. We killed a couple, and a legion and guardian(?) ejected and got their pods out. We managed to not kill either of them (for once...) and loaded up the carrier and headed back, just barely managing to get everything through the now-crit hole.

All in all, it was a great fight, mad props to adhoc for bringing it. ISK wise, it was barely a win for us, once you count the stolen ships, but more importantly both sides had a ton of fun.

The Future:

ADHC is going strong and will continue to do so. Our recruitment is open and if you meet the reqs please apply! It doesn't matter if you are a care bear or a PVP person. We recruit the person behind the keyboard and not the character. When I joined I had maybe 5 million skill points. We live in a bit more harsh of a home now but sp is sp and it can always be worked around. Just make sure you meet the minimums and are a drama free, fun person.

I'll see you guys in six months when I have my two anniversary with the corp. There will be cake. Hopefully some of you will be in corp to join in on the fun.

It's summer time and we are still looking for some fresh blood!

So we've had a few things happening lately. We're still recruiting for all timezones looking for good people who enjoy scanning, hunting, and don't mind not getting rich. We are very PVP oriented, but we do some PVE content to allow ourselves to stay in ships for our PVP habit. We do tend to concentrate on smaller gang PVP, so expect us to have a few balls and to try things that others might send in a kitchen sink to take out. A few nice fights have happened lately.

First of all, we found some awesome Polish guys who had a good attitude, but felt wronged by CCP's new sig watch system and didn't have their probes out watching for new sigs actively. 2 Moros's and an Archon met their doom in a site.

Next good fight was against No Holes Barred. We found them in our chain and decided to send out a few ships to bait in in hopes they would bring a fight. Unfortunately, they decided to run some anom's but kept eyes on us in our home system. On their last Anom, we decided to go for them and our fleet started out just as their scout jumped out of our system (while we were on the hole) so they had advance warning. We decided to go for it anyway in hopes of grabbing a solo Dread before reinforcements arrived. We made the few jumps down the chain and jumped into their home (C6 magnatar) and found 2 interdictors pooping out bubbles. We pop one of the interdictors and decided to go for the solo rev left in the site. We get tackle and warp in on the Rev and got it to less than 50% armor before they landed an Archon and Thannatos (I think) which both entered Triage and started repping the Rev. We immediately switch to the Thanny and they land another Archon on us and triage it. Still hoping we can get the Thanny before it exits Triage No Holes Barred landed their subap fleet of protei and others on top of us and we decided that it was time to exfil. We ended up sacrificing both our Baaglehorns and a Guardian got caught in the bubble, but the rest of our fleet managed to escape Afterwards, they gave us props for engaging in their system. "[ 2013.07.06 20:56:24 ] Vanessa Serenity > Wow. I love you guys. Not many that has the balls to attack us in homesys :D" and "[ 2013.07.06 21:00:59 ] Vanessa Serenity > Well. I will surely not underestimate your balls in the future Thanks for the fight! o/" Were given to us in our Public channel. In the end, we lost but had a good fight and the Baaglehorn pilots received many thanks from us for their sacrifices.

Finally, we taught a null secer why solo carriers are not a good scare tactic against WH corps in their local. We had a member out "ratting" in a nice looking cheap fit Legion. Local who was alone warps a raptor to him and proceeded to die to our legion and his pod gets away. Well, 5 minutes later, our member starts screaming on mumble that the Raptor pilot landed a Chimera on him in a belt. Our member burned 100k out and managed to get tackle on the Carrier as we scramble a responce. We finally got our HIC on top of the carrier before the EC drones jammed our Legion pilot, and the rest was over for the Chimera pilot. We were all waiting for his Cyno to go up which never came. Well, looking at his fit, we now know why.

We are still having fun and taking names. We do live by the age old addage, RL >> EvE.

U-Boat Episode 6: The Call and Episode 7: The Triage are both out now. Asay does an amazing job at getting these videos out the day or evening after we get these fights, and they do a great job at showing some of the daily/weekly activites we partake in.

We just had another triage fight much like in episode 7, except we only brought subcaps for dps. A small gang of 3 T3s and a (Navy?) Harbinger was sitting on the outside of our hole, in our static, baiting with a tackle/web Orca sitting on our side. I logged in just in time to hear everyone forming up and warping to the hole with a triage Archon. When we arrived the Orca was gone, but their 4 subcaps were sitting on our hole. We started laying into them, when suddenly their Nidhoggur (which we knew about, but didn't expect to show up) jumped into us. He started repping the first primary, the Navy Harbi, but we overpowered the reps and he hit low armor quickly, then jumped out. We started killing one of the T3s, who also jumped out. Then the Nid jumped back out, crashing the hole and leaving a Legion and Proteus to die to our forces. We quickly dispatched the Proteus, whose pod got away (last I checked, it was still being hunted down by my corpmates). We then started killing the Legion, but it was called to stop dps on it and wait for a dictor to bubble him. He started selfdestructing. Our dictor pilot landed 30 seconds before the countdown was supposed to end, and we quickly brought down the last 40% armor, then popped him. With the bubble deployed, we got everyone's tackle on the pod, then popped that too.

Asay was there too, so we may see the fight/gank on a later U-Boat, but he did come in later, so he may not have much good footage of it.

U-boat episodes 8 and 9 are up, with episode 10, containing one of the biggest whelps in ADHC history from what I have heard, should be coming out soon (my guess is today, but I don't want to give an ETA on someone elses work). Here is the battle report as a little teaser.

Recent fights
Last night, after rolling our static, we found an Executive Outcomes fleet consisting of 3 guardians and assorted T3s/HACs/BCs with Damnation boosts sieging an unknown Russian corps POS. We formed up a shield fleet and after raging thoroughly at whoever fit our corp Scimitars with afterburners, which we quickly fixed, we went out and warped in at 30 on them. They took the fight at first, but when our ECM started getting jams in on their Guardians they quickly started melting. They tried to bug out and we spread points and killed what was left. Then one of their pilots reshipped to a Hound and decloaked in the middle of our fleet.

Final result

I would like to talk about the fight that's coming in U-Boat 10, but I wasn't there. While I could simply post quotes from the AAR that was written, I would rather just wait until episode 10 goes up so you guys can see it for yourself.

That's all the news I have to share for this week. As much as I would like to write an update that could rival some of the nullsec news popping up left and right atm, no major life changing really happened in ADHC this week.

Adhocracy somewhat-weekly update

I'm gonna attempt to update this thread weekly, or as close to weekly as possible with updates about corp activities, recent news and any particular changes that might have happened. Provided the corp actually likes me and I get to stay after my 30 day initiate period, that is.

Adhocracy goes camping
The most prominent event since my last update was hands down our C6 camping trip. Someone in the corp found a C6 Red Giant with 63 anoms and 31 signatures (27 gas sites), and so he invited anyone who wanted to come to join him. I'm not sure on the exact number of people that joined, but it seems to be somewhere between 15 and 20. The first night we earned over 1.5bil ISK in gas and loot. I and a couple others also managed to semi-afk mine a couple hundred million ISK in Retrievers during the early hours of EUTZ over a couple of days. This post will be going up the day we pull out of the hole(opsec and all that), so we won't know the total ISK earned until a few days later, when it's all been counted and sold.

Sadly I only have one fight to report this week. I would tell you what else has been going on, but all I have are killboard links since, appearently, NO-ONE in my corp likes AARs, and by extension, learning and improving.

A Dragon and it's whelps
So we got welped by a Dragon and support. We had lost a Navy Harbi and a Heretic to a gatecamp of locals out of our low-sec link. They were camping in cloaky Proteii with an OOC cloaky scout on the highsec gate. We took it upon ourselves to rid the world of this filth and their evil tactics. We are gentlemen vikings afterall. So we formed up a nice fleet of a cloaky 200k EHP bait Proteus, 2 Guardians, a Curse to mess up their guns and some assorted armor dps ships. So we tell our bait Proteus to go. Nothing happens. They don't even react. We're sitting around wondering how to get them to engage us when our cloaky Proteus spots a Vindicator warping to the gate. I call the obvious, obvious bait, then tell the cloaky T3 plus our Navy Brutix to go point it, because we just wanna shoot at somebody at this point. Point is called. The Vindi starts shooting at our Brutix Navy Issue. We jump into the system, starts repping up our Navy Brutix. Suddenly there's an Archon, second Vindi, Megathron, Proteus and Scorpion on the field. We believe the Scorpion was all Amarr jammers. I suspect he refitted off the carrier as soon as we showed them our Guardians. With our 2 Guardians rendered completely useless by what we think was 7 Amarr Jammers, we start dropping like flies. Our Curse makes it out, and I in the Guardian burn back 40km to the gate, the last 20km under Vindi webs, jumping through and warping back to the hole in half armor. Our Rupture also made it out \o/ So we got welped, but we got a fight out of it. Yay. That was also my first fight in a Guardian.


Adhocracy official website
So the corp/Asay has had the Wormhole Fundamentals website for a while now, using it as a blog to accompany the video series. The decision was made to use it as an official website for Adhocracy, with weekly updates such as these, as well as battle reports of any major fights we've had, posted on there. I'm sure the more creative guys like Asay can find more uses for it than that, but that's all that's been decided so far. This hopefully also means you will get updates from someone with actual talent in writing and with more experience in EVE and the corp than me. Yay!

Sit around with his thumb up his ass. For at least five minutes. Total bait, I think.

We finish forming up a mixed fleet of 8ish pilots, and I decloak and throw down the hero point. He autotargets me back. No drones. He went to get a beer. Not wanting to alert him that he's in trouble, I hold fire. Our fleet arrives, and I bug out to go get another ship. He dies as I'm on my way back to Hub. I grab the Mammoth and go back to loot him.

So I log in and there's some site-running in our static following a little skirmish in a wormhole down the chain. I send my scout out that way while I'm getting dinner together. After a while I find that our erstwhile opponents from round 1 have brought out a Megathron, Armageddon, Ishtar, and Sacrilege, and are sitting 50km off of the hole, orbiting the hole at speed.

There was a general sentiment that I should lead us into a glorious welp, and of course I'm only too happy to oblige. So, we set up on the other side of the hole with the plan that we lead with Ioqua in a Proteus with a long point. He soaks the sentry alpha, gets point on the Mega, and then we pile in, with AC (AtomicConnor) in his Hookbill getting the next point and the rest of us catching up as quickly as possible. Plan executes flawlessly. There's a little bit of helter skelter working around the Armageddon's neuts, but we manage to get points on all four hostiles with relatively little difficulty. To their credit, in the first of many brave moves, they did not immediately try to warp off when the fleet piled in.

We start on the Ishtar and it melts. We turn to the Megathron and three Guardians land at long range, followed by a Falcon. We dispatch AC after the Falcon with all of our drones, and work around the jams as best we can. We manage to keep points on the Megathron, Armageddon, and Sacrilege. We swtich targets and bring down the Armageddon. Around this point AC finally murders the Falcon with the fury of a thousand drones and Ioqua's long point. A Proteus and Hurricane land on the field, and we do my new personal favorite "F*** your logi"-move, a double target swap. On five second counts we go from the Megathron to the Proteus to the Cane, and their Guardians are so far behind they don't get anything on the Cane before it goes, and while they're reeling we manage to drop the Megathron.

After some more target switching and them warping in a second Proteus and a Harbinger, we nuke the Harbinger, then the Sacrilege in short order. They bring in another Prot. We've been trying to suppress their Guardians with moderate success using ECM drones, but at this point I order Ioqua and AC to go after the Guardians and try to harass them off the field. The multiple DPS pressures are enough to disrupt them, the first Proteus dies, then the second, we force their third Guardian off the field and it's us and two tackled Guardians. And a Manticore, for a brief, shining second, trying to bomb AC's hookbill to break tackle on the Guardian. This failed.

Overall we crushed them and took no losses, except for a Proteus in an earlier engagement. I give them massive kudos for engaging, and for reshipping time and again as we shredded their ships out from under them. They provided a lot of fun, and good practice with target-switching, ECM harassment, and general good fleet tactics. We would have benefitted from having some ECM of our own, or at least things would have gone faster, but since we were transitioning immediately from a site-running fleet (do PvE in PvP ships!) we mostly had DPS and logi. It worked out in the end.
