What happened when it froze? had you just hit the login button, clicked a character to log in to, just undocked, etc?
Also, what's your system like?

You can try running repair.exe from your eve directory. If that doesn't fix it then run logserver.exe+start the game and post the log in the tech support forum when it crashes.

ok first thing first you are running Vista i presume
heres the fix go to C:\users\%username%\AppData\Local\Eve
This will require you to have hidden folders and files visible
and delete all folders here this will "Reset" the Client you will loose all cache and settings
This is a know issue which ofc needs fixing ( i only experienced it while running vista O/S odly)
Now for the fix for the download, go to the dowload site on eve-o and download repair tools, run it ( normally you will get a prompt asking you to repair it but what ever )

Start menu/Control Panel/Programs and Features. Highlight Eve online. Select Uninstall. A pop up box will appear: Are you sure you wish to permenently delete Eve-Online from your system? Select yes. Go and make a coffee. Come back reboot your pc. Open up your web browser. Google "World of Tanks" Smile because you've completed the best possible day you could have in Eve-Online.

I am no PC techie so don't take this suggestion too far (like going shopping for new ram)
However, maybe someone can confirm this.
If you are having trouble both running eve AND installing a new client, it may be an issue with your computers RAM.
If you have a friend you can borrow ram from, try a test with theirs and see if it works alright. I sometimes hear similar problems are fixed by this.
It's entirely possible I'm talking twaddle though and if so I apologise for wasting your time.
