Edited by: cashboxx on 15/08/2010 21:21:02 Edited by: cashboxx on 15/08/2010 21:19:49 New character, minimum skills. Which ship should I train for?
I previously trained on my other character for Minmatar Interceptor ships but soon regretted not going for the Gallente's or Amarr's interceptors.
I forgot to mention I plan to do a lot of Caldari FW.

Just train for the Taranis, its a superb and impressively versatile ship. Also as a bonus you get access to the Ishkur, Navy Comet and the Daredevil.
Gallente frig V and the gunnery specs are worth training for any of those ships alone. ~ One million alts cant be wrong.

What spank said. Just don't train Gallente any further than frigate. -------------------------------------------------------------------

Lexa, I heard Megas work better if you train armour compensation skills. ~

Of the Crusader/Taranis, I've found the taranis is the better choice against other frigates and the crusader works against bigger targets. *** Currently Playing: Trolls from Outer Space Current Equipment: VISAcard chain mail, +2 Amulet of Epic Whine, Self Banstick +2 WTB: +666 E-peen killboard stats |

Do explain that. Taranis has dual prop (damage negation) and an easier time killing drones (due to the fact that you have 2 of your own). The only thing that works in Crusaders favor in terms of killing bigger ships is the fact that it has some pretty decent SAR fits. ___________________

Blasphemy!! You must acknowledge the awesomeness of the frog-made t1 cruisers, and the mighty Megathron! Should our valiant pilot choose to cross-train Gallente and Minmatar and if he can afford it there is always the ultimate spank machine, the Vindicator, not to mention the Mr. Bumpy aka the Machariel.
I Sir (Madam) disagree with you completely. Signature removed for not being EVE related. Zymurgist |

How a TE II/Locus rigged Crusader is better against larger targets.
1. Outside of 13km overheat web range (barely though, gotta miss pre-stacking penalties locus rigs though)
2. Outside of all of both medium and small neut range. Outside of neut range >>>>>> loldualprop

taranis > any turret boat
the skill of a taranis pilot is measured in how much structure he has left when he gets into that magical 500m orbit. i actually fly amarr |

Taranis is a facemelter. Just remember that do NOT bail out when you hit structure, that's when you start winning. There probably isn't a single kill for a taranis where it hasn't bee into structure.... Stop whining. |
