With the price of tritanium depressed as it is I wonder if miners should stop mining it and concentrate on other ores?

Yes! Veldspar has been rather unprofitable for a significant period of time. Write yourself a spreadsheet showing the ores, the minerals they refine into, and the market value of the ore per cubic metre based on current mineral value. Then go put and mine the ore worth the most per cubic metre.

Because it is always useful to check your working against someone else's in order to learn how the model works.
Would you write a speech without comparing your writing to successful speeches covering the same subject matter? Would you start a war without having researched other wars run over the same terrain?
Writing your own spreadsheet helps cement the ideas in your head about what is important to you in writing the spreadsheet, comparing that spreadsheet to tools prepared by others can highlight assumptions that you have made which may not necessarily be valid.
