after i downloaded new patch it said i had corrupt data and eve fix tool was also unable to fix such corrupt data and had to manualy download patch, still did not work, have deleted and reinstalled entire client twice and at end of installation, i get message archive extraction failed:CANCELLED
i have sent a petition so just gota wait for a reply now

my client also started to crash after update and i dont even get to login page.. i have running repair.exe without any errors and still crash, safe mode will crash client, re-install dont make it any better... before updating things was working perfect

I am encountering the same error, dont even make it to the login screen. These things happened after I downloaded the 14 meg patch today, it was supposed to fix python and some mac issues or something.

Also getting the ccp exefile crash. reinstalled the game totally and same issue. This started after i applied the patch this afternoon.

I crash when I see my pos, but of course, since the pos crashes me, when I log back in, I autowarp to the pos and crash again.
Tried turning all settings down/off, clearing cache, going to PI interface and map mode, etc. Other characters, in station, are fine - I'm afraid to warp them to the pos and end up the same way.

Edited by: Saelie on 19/08/2010 18:22:25 Reported this a month ago when it started happening to me on Singularity. Apparently, whatever was causing it has not been located and fixed before they patched it to Live. Petition filed.
Edit: Things I've tried:
Running game normally: Crash Running game in EVE Safe Mode: Crash Closing all nonessential programs and running game: Crash Repair tool, run game: Crash Download and install new client on clean drive: Crash Running game in Windows Safe Mode: Hangs forever and consumes all resources until process-killed.
Additionally, alliancemates have been reporting that the game occasionally makes their computers grind to a halt to the point they need to reset them.

I can't get eve to load after the patch either.
