to be fair, aerodynamics and hydrodynamics are exactly the same, the only difference is the thickness of the fluid they are working in. And, that your trying to go down, not up.

Meh, looks like an overpriced jet ski. Not much of a submersible if it uses an air breathing engine.
OTOH, modding it to look like the Loch Ness monster could instigate an overdue rash of 'Nessie sightings...

This. I'm glad to know I'm not the one that noticed that the shark-sky is no sub. --------------------------

But the qualities of the medium being travelled through are exactly what each study, and those qualities are different enough to require seperate fields.
I agree they're similar in ways, but there are two distinct words meant for each.

Oddly, not. If you believe it - submarines use airfoils to submerge. Honestly, if you substituted our air with something 1000 times as dense, our airplanes might look like submarines instead. Odd how that works. (of course, we would also have all sorts of trouble breathing, or even moving around, but hey, im not caring about that)

Looks like a good way to ruin your back, seeing how you "crash" back on the water. Mind you, it'd be a fun way to do it.

Actually when things start moving at hypersonic velocities in the air, conventional aerodynamics begins to break down. Most engineers actually switch over to hydrodynamic models. and further more why do i even need a sig? |

Agreed, more like a boat that can slide under the surface, still very cool though.
