I think once or twice per year Concord Police should go on strike for a week or so. During this time there would be no police action, sec status loss, etc. Keep it real. The game keeps getting nerfed in favor of carebears, so this way us pirates would get at least a token of respect given to the carebears. We pay to play too...

I all so support this. Carebears have there happy time mining, producing and what not. Yet us pirates have to reside in low sec all the time. Let us emerge with a bang. Once or twice a year is not asking much.

I do not support this action as it will lower the player count on the servers significantly. You cant force people to PvP, if you try they will just go and find a game where they dont have to.

Amen. Carebears whine their way to getting whatever they want. Nerfing insurance will reduce suicide ganks, making Concord response the same in any high sec system will reduce suicide ganks, blah blah, whine whine. Give us something for a change.

1st it is a week, not all the time. 2nd even if some do not play that week, there will still be plenty of people that do anyway and we can amuse ourselves at their expense. 3rd I suspect you're a whiny carebear.

Many carebears do not read the news and will undock not knowing what is going on. They will promptly be pwned by pirates and loose their faction fitted BS worth billions of isk. They will cry, petition and then when told this was an event for this week will unsub..
You CAN NOT force people that don't want to PvP to PvP.

Wait...machines can go on strike? I thought CONCORD was mostly unmanned drones besides the people who service them. I forgot to mention that you are in fact reading something that is called a signature. |

I'd aim for 1 day not 1 week- that way disuption of play isnt too affected, and keeps the whines low and the thrills high

Rolling, random pirate incursions in hisec resulting in no sec status and a reckless wave of lawlessness and random concord (or navy) incursions into npc 00 resulting in a wild spree of law and order.

Edited by: Lord Cath on 23/08/2010 06:31:27 there used to be an event once a year, think it was called "armageddon day" where there was no concord in hisec and as you can guess, the women were pilaged and the village was ****d (didnt now the common word for molestation is censored )... _________________________________________________

Lana your really only looking at one side like most people do. CCP can put a warning when you log onto your character. There could also be "safe" systems that where not affected by the strike. Please stop being closed mineded and stop trying to speak for every one. Wait for a few more post befor trying to do that.

1st. This would hugely favor large blobs and every pvp oriented corp and alliance while totally taking the **** on new players and players that focus on anything else than pvp of which there happen to be many in empire space.
2nd. Many, many players would quit.
3rd. CCP would never let this happen.
4th. You haven't thought this through.
5th. Go back to the drawing board. I agree with everything Barakkus posts. |

With Pirates haveing access to the majority of the universe. Its still suprising that they still whine about High sec. If u want to pirate in HS then do as people have been doing for years and suicide gank. Dont ***** about your losing sec standing as u wanted it that way, in the first place. Everyone choses his place to be, you have chosen yours. Deal with it. Running the Wheel for the CORP

This post reminds me the typical miners whining about the quantity and quality of roids in high sec compared with low sec or null sec. There are plenty of targets to carebear for ISK on them.Look how PL is ransoming alliances lol... Or if you dont want the huge "blob" try what those Dirt Nap do with the only difference that you dont kill them and ransom them. Be carefull though, people in null sec tend to shoot back.

Not a bad idea... Or maybe a corp could throw let's say 50mil isk to the local cops so they don't respond for 5 hrs... how fun would that be? pay for a lil' response delay?!?! General all around jerk... |

Ok how about this...
1.0 Sec systems, as normal 0.9 - 0.5 No concord just gate guns and sec hit, 0.4 - 0.1 No gate guns and no sec hit.
(ie low sec becomes null sec for a day and most of high sec becomes lowsec

Now that i think of it,pirates are "carebears" too. From the moment you undock the ship you are planning to make ISK with,it doesnt have much difference with the other players that undock a pimped mission ship,or a hulk to attack roids. So,you cant ask the game to be rebalanced in your favour, its like carebear miners ask rare roids for a week in empire,or missioners 10/10 PLEXes in Jita. How can a carebear pirate ask similar things? And please dont use the normal crap about how hard and risky it is to camp with 10 more guys and 2-3 alt scouts. You warp out at the first sight of trouble. If you want true carebear danger, try undocking a 3-4 BIL Golem in a mission hub for sometime and see what happens

by a similar line, you could make low-sec into hi-sec for a week. this would mean the carebears could mine all those rare ores and CONCORD would protect them!
EVERY pirate would whine about that, what makes you think it would be OK if it's the other way around?
