Ofcourse they would, and I didn't intend to try to convince anyone to do anything, I agree with you 100%.

If I may ask what steps are MF going to take to rectify its public image beyond this public disclosure of MFÆs bio and mission statement?
Please keep in mind this is not necessarily the public image/bio of MF, at some point it may have been, however at present time I cannot speak on behalf of my corp.
Im no longer involved with leading the corp. What steps MF takes in the future is for others to tell you, not me.
Hope it helps. |

Well in the wages of history I also had a char in MF. Fabu was his name which I now have been send to the biomass reprosessing.
The time that he was in MF was when it was still Mercenary Frigates and people started flying battleships. But hey I liked frigs better. Frig was at war with MLM and RKK at the time. Which where some cool fights, but then the whining on forums started. I stopped playing with Fabu when the corp switched from name. I found it a bit of a disappointment we never did some contract work, but the pvp was fun.
Well that was some sort of my story in MF. Been there only a few weeks.
good luck on your future carreer.
Greeting, Tooshy(Fabu)

I was gonna write something long-winded (people that know me will tesify that I have been known to be long-winded at times *cough*).
Anyways I was gonna write something and indeed started doing so, but after about 10 lines I realize that I was merely repeating Naqq's point so instead I am gonna quote Bender: Quote: I am an expert at not caring. The secret is to stop givin' a rat's ass about anyone else, and start thinking of the things that YOU want! That YOU deserve! That the world ows YOU!...
This applies to EVE as well. When you think about it all you really can do, is try to have fun on your terms. If you happen to team up with likeminded individuals, then by all means, maximize your fun, but dont expect everyone to agree with your views.
I am doing it again... being long-winded...
Anyways, I just wanted to add a little observation about MF and groups of people in general:
MF are a collection of people who do their thing. We are ocationally serious about things, afterall if you want to win a battle/engagement in EVE, you have to coordinate your resources... right? Most times however, people are free to pitch in with ideas and speak their mind. We tend to discuss a lot of things, not just EVE related, and I suspect that this casual attitude was what lead to us changing our minds on the VOTF contract. This is the price we must pay for not adheering to a strict chain of command, but it is a small price to pay in order to preserve the very essence of MF... if it's not fun, it's not worth doing.
This makes being a mercenary a bit harder since merc. work is mostly about sitting around and waiting for stuff to happen. We seek out fun and action, and ocationally we pay the price. -- "I am an expert in not caring. The trick is to stop giving a rat's ass about anyone else and start thinking about what YOU want, what YOU diserve, what the world ows YOU!" - Bender |

Well..... I guess if all the other cool MF guys are replying - I will too.
MF gave me the first real insight into PvP, and to tell you the truth, the guys were kickass and a brilliant bunch to play with.
gg fellas and gl on getting back to the roots of MF.

We actually struck a deal with CLS during the first war when we learned that most of them were two-week old newbies. We would continue to attack them, but attempt to limit ourselves to one system and refrain from podding eachother. Within the space of a few days, those who fought us went from being totally clueless and lacking the skills (in-game skills), to being able to make an impact on us.
This just goes to show that with proper training both in terms of what skills to train, but also in terms of tactics, command and control pretty much anyone can get out fighting effectively in two or three weeks.
Some of MF were/are of the opinion that battleships are not the only way to have fun. The "penalty" for loosing one Battleship is naturally very much higher than loosing a frigate or two. I can safely say that the potential for fun in a frigate is far higher. Frigates allow most members of a corporation to take part when attacked or attacking, and we like that.
We were trying to point out that having fun has little to do with what ship you fly and everythig to do with how you play the game and the attitude you display towards it. -- "I am an expert in not caring.
