Posting on an alt, because I've been part of leadership with my current alliance for 3 years, and I don't want to cause a panic in the case that I decide not to make a move...
I have lived in low-sec for 2 years.
I am space-poor. I spend literally 100% of my EVE time doing PVP, and I abhor profitable activities. Typically I will spend one weekend a month doing anything remotely profitable, and spend the rest of the month getting it all blown up.
I am the primary active USTZ FC in my current alliance, and a director in my corporation. I also hold the title of Ally Coordinator, which pretty much means I vet our +5 blues for +10 status, which gives them access to our fleets and a section of our forums.
As an FC, I am highly experienced running fast battlecruiser gangs between 10-20 pilots, but also quite experienced commanding fleets of up to 60 pilots of varying compositions, including capital-supported armor BS, Alpha BS, armor cruisers, and small ship swarms. The largest fleet I have ever commanded was 160, with 20 logi, 90 battleships, and the rest ewar/tackle/recon/support.
As a pilot, I solo hunt low-sec, without alts, links, or scouts more than any other activity. I have by far the most experience using Minmatar/Angel hulls and flying skirmish/nano style, but have very recently trained the skills needed for Medium Blasters and Lasers, and have been experimenting with brawling fits. I also very much enjoy dogfighting in AFs, destroyers, and faction frigates.
I have taken many roams to null-sec, but not so often that I'd call my null-sec experience strong. I have most certainly deployed HICs, spread tackle, and won engagements in null...but I am well aware that I am more at home/experienced with low-sec mechanics.
I do not fly any capital ships at present, but am well-positioned skill-wise to move to either Minmatar or Gallente capitals quickly.
I have around 2300 career kills with about 300 career losses, for a 93% efficiency, for those of you that care about such things. The alliance I have been a part of for 3 years is not a PVP alliance by any stretch of the imagination. The majority of our pilot base will spend more time at PVE and industry than PVP. This is the core of why I am considering making a move.
I love my alliance when we are at war, or when someone is attacking our low-sec assets regularly...but the wars are too short, and the peace is too long. My favorite thing about my current alliance is how highly they value constructive criticism over trolling, and their insistence on professional and respectful behavior especially in fleets, but also in alliance channels and forums. They are also known for honor and integrity in diplomacy and war. I would not be interested to join an organization that dishonors ransoms/1v1s/surrender terms or breaks NAPs without notification.
So, I'm all ears if someone wants to take a crack at pushing me over the edge to try something new. |

You might be interested in trying out w-space.
It's all of the small gang stuff you mentioned, without the local chat, and access to the BEST isk farming in the entire game. (Easy to make your pvp money fast, so you can get back to shooting people in their faces.)
If you're a pirate from being in lowsec for so long, it doesn't matter because it's effectively nullsec. If you are proficient scanning, you can find multiple exits to K-space in your chain, leading to lowsec, nullsec, and highsec. Sometimes all of them in the same system...
If you think that's something you might be interested in, allow me to point you to our recruitment thread: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=1401257#post1401257
Feel free to mail me or drop by our pub channel: "Clann Fian Public" if you have any questions.

Thank you. That may indeed be interesting. So far my WH experiences have been similar to my null experiences...lots of empty space and a lot of travel to find a good skirmish. Can you elaborate a bit on how your PVPers go about getting fights without too much travel? |

Hi Torryan,
I think I may have something to interest you with. SEGM is a PvP focused null corp, we've flown with quite a few big boys over the last two years - Right now with IRC, fighting large scale sov wars when on deployment, and enjoying smaller scale PvP on deployments alongside SOLAR when at home for rest and recovery.
With two IRC FCs already in our ranks it would be very easy to get you FCing. Currently getting an SRP programme going, its not yet well developed, but with the amount of PvP we've had on our hands we haven't really had the time to put much thought into it.
Either way, it'd be great if we could have a chat on Teamspeak one day,

Well the beauty of our setup is that we have two static wormholes, one leading to highsec and one leading to deeper wspace.
One of the easiest and fastest ways to find pvp is to chain collapse the w-space static until we find targets or a system with a static wormhole leading to targets. Also due to our K-space static, we have quite a few people wander into our system daily, sometimes we get gangs looking for fights, sometimes we get miners/carebears/haulers to gank. The k-space static also allows for our members to go "k-space diving" where they scan down surrounding systems by our entry wormhole, looking for other systems with k-space static entrances similar to ours to find targets.
In deeper w-space, the logistics of moving in and out of the system, through multiple wormholes in the chain, can make it more of a hassle to move around. With our k-space static we can cross the universe in minutes, and makes any logistical need a walk in the park.
If you're a self starter, and motivated, you can do very well in w-space, if you sit around and wait for others to find something for you to do, you'll likely be bored out here. |

Well let me tell you about A8ORT, we are a USTZ PVP Corp pure PVP that's it, all we do is pew literally every night. We do mostly skirmish gangs 2-20 man fleets with the occasional armor gang thrown in the mix. We are highly nomadic so typically what we do is move to an area kill everything we can find until no one will fight us anymore then we move on. You might recognize us if you watched ATX this year we took 3rd place with our alliance Exodus. We don't do SOV warefare no blues no BS! and we love fighting the blobs in our little gangs.

Wow, you've got quite the resume behind you. Unfortunately for my little corporation, we're not even in the same timezone to attempt bringing you on board. However, if you're looking for something different in low-sec - how about piracy? Our friends over at Repo. are US time zone and are dedicated to piracy and good fights. Apart from on a smaller scale, they fly similar to you - they hunt low-sec without alts or links and they like their Minmatar. While I wish it was worth more, I can vouch that they are great guys. They understand that real life comes first, don't like e-drama and are much more interested in having fun then killboard stats.
So yeah, please give them a look. =) Cry Wolf is Recruiting EU/AU TZ Pirates! See here for more details: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=1608823

XMETA is currently recruiting, and you sound like someone we NEED. Currently we are a small group (about 20) of active bloodthirsty killers entrenched in Gallente Militia FW.... but without an expierianced and confident FC; that being said, we are still racking up the kills daily. I can only imagine what we could accomplish with a seasoned FC leading us
My CEO is quite serious about roping in a qualified and active Fleet Commander, and if that person proves to be a good fit and in fact increase our kill ratio, he has offered to PAY for the account....
I encourage you to brows our recruitment thread here
The high points? We like to have FUN, we are US TZ (mostly central) , we like to kill sh!t more than make isk'ies, and you would have a small group of expierianced killers willing to follow a good FC to hell and back. As a whole, the Gal.Mil could greatly benifit from an FC that has the expieriance, confidence, and ball$ to get big fleets together and run the squids back to Jita.
There is absolutly ZERO shortage of folk to kill in Black Rise, if your interested, PLEASE open chat to XMETA kills stuff and say hello. |

I noticed last night that Black Rise was quite interesting. Soulless Brutor/Predator Elite/whatever he goes by these days brought a fleet through that I'd have LOVED to have fought. Saw some nice Villore gangs around too.
I definitely want to thank everyone that has responded here and directly through mail. I've received a surprising number of responses, and am still trying process it all. |

Had a good fight with you all recently. You guys had a mid-range nano BC gang with a Scimi, Huginn, Rapier and Lachesis. I was very impressed with your gang's discipline and proper use of the fleet composition, and I enjoyed explaining to my gang why we had to bail when we did, and exactly why we couldn't continue to fight your smaller gang with ours.
You just happened to be flying my favorite gang composition, period. I had a good laugh at getting driven off by it. |

Torryan Laetnyr wrote:TL,DR: Experienced Small Gang FC might be interested in a more PVP-focused alliance
Hey Torryan,
If you're looking for good and regular PvP, come and check us out.
Who we are and what we offer:
- 0.0 PvP corp in PvP aliance
- Small ganks and medium fleet roams every day, plus a few big fleet fights each week
- Been around since 2006 and keep getting better with over 20,000 kills
- 564 kills so far in July with 97p/c efficiency
- Mix of veterans and newer players
- Help with logistics between 0.0 and hi-sec.
We get fights every day, usually flying in gangs of 10-40 people. We believe it takes more skill to fly in smaller fleets and find it more satisfying. But if you're a fan of big fleets, you too won't be dissapointed.
We hope to give our pilots different looks at PvP and fly black ops, stealth bombers, recons, hacs, strategic cruisers, bc up to fleet battleships, carriers and dreads.
We have a generally relaxed atmosphere in corp, but keep focus in fleets. And we want to have a laugh while playing the game ;)

Well Torryan, I see that you are quite serious about your PvP, and that is commendable. Black Aces is formerly of Against ALL Authorities Allaince and we are a 0,0 Corporation that recently has created its own alliance called Against ALL Anomalies. We are in the process of securing space in http://evemaps.dotlan.net/map/The_Kalevala_Expanse under the Alliance Ticker SCDOT. We are working on behalf of Solar Fleet to secure this area with the intention to develop it for our overall alliance. Our numbers are growing, however our US timezone is in need of numbers. I personally am from the US, however the corporation is heavy Aussie, with a mix round the clock. We tend to do small gang warfare when possible, however its not unusual for us to end up in large fleet action when necessary. We are serious about our pvp, but are known to cut up on comms and attempt to enjoy one anothers company. It is not unusual to hear the guys trolling each other on comms, so laughter is a regular occurance. If your interested in chatting further about how you can fit into our organization, please join our Recriutment channel called Black Aces Recriutment. I look forward to chatting with you when I am on next. |
