Would I get more gigajoules/second with a double capacitor control circuit, one CCC and one semiconductor memory cell, or two SMCs?
And is the answer different between T1 and T2 varieties?

Use EFT (eve fitting tool) to find out. ----- "Are you a sociopathic paranoid schizophrenic with accounting skills? We have the game for you! -- Eve, the game of Alts, Economics, Machiavelli, and PvP"

That's really strange; it looks like cccs / cap rechargers consistently outperform smc / batteries. I wonder what I'm missing here.

ccc's reduce the number on bottom. smc's increase the number on top. From there its just math...
Also, fitting a large cap battery on a medium ship is a good use of space if you have spare cpu and grid. For instance, sacri

Base cap recharge : 1/1 = 1 CCC (15%) = 1/0,85 = 1,18 SMC (15%) = 1,15/1 = 1,15
Combinging CCC and/or SMC is just factoring the numbers, no stacking involved, so CCC will beat SMC any time when you consider recharge.

Batteries and SMCs for cap buffer (ie you expect the fight to be over before you cap out, neuts aside). Rechargers and CCCs for cap sustainability.
Or just use an injector and fit more useful rigs.
