I currently run lvl 3 missions in a Myrmidon. I would like to beef up my drone skills. Currently training Drone Interfacing to IV. What should I go for now? Are T1 Heavy Drones better than T2 meds for missions? Or should I go for T2 Heavies?
Any help would be appreciated.

Sentries are better than both, since they don't have travel time. Otherwise probably T2 mediums for same reason.

For Level 3 missions all you need are medium drones. You are mostly shooting frigates and cruisers and that's where T2 mediums excel.
If you used heavies, you would actually be slower at doing those missions. Heavy drones have lower speed and tracking and, for that reason, they are best used against battleships. Start training those - or sentries - when you are ready to move to level 4s.
Sooner or later you will take Drone Interfacing to 5. The effect is noticeable so you may as well go all the way now.

Drone interfacing 5 if you plan on sticking with drones as your primary weapon (dominix would be your next ship). That 20% damage bonus is very nice. After that, t2 sentry drones. Heavy drones are almost purely pvp toys and even then, I tend to favor sentries for the same reasons they are better in pve (instant damage, instant scoop). Thus far you shall read, but no further; for this is my sig. |

Work into a Dominix. They tank great because you don't need any damage mods, you really don't need t2 guns at all, you can get by with t1 best named rails. Just stay working on your drones and armor skills until you can use t2 heavy and sentry drones.
On my alt's mission domi, I used to use the long and short range sentries, but found the long range are good while everything is out. You drop a lot of the dps as it's coming in, then once you weakened the spawns, you get full aggro. I used to drop gardes and chill, but you can just drop ogre II's instead and go afkish.
If sentries get primaried, you just call them in and put them back out. But, overall Orge's deal more raw dps, about 50+ more I think. But you might have stuff so close your garde's don't hit for full damage. And dominix in my opinion of the gallente BS, is the best, because of the different damage types you can deal with the drones. Though I only ever used the Amarr Sentry and the Gallente/Minmatar drones.
TL;DR - Train into dominix, go for t2 sentries and heavy drones, make sure you can fit a good tank, be cap stable and if you can't use large guns, train them some after everything else. next, profit.
