the orginal is better, but yes the eve intro doesn't look as good as in game footage.

Yeah the one before was better, I remember when they changed it.

The old intro is far better than the current one imo, as it explains the whole story behind EVE. There's something about it that makes it feel much more atmospheric ... there's more tension somehow. The one thing it doesn't explain is the whole capsules/near immortal demi-gods part, which I guess is why they created the new intro (which sadly misses out the whole background of EVE itself).
It would be fantastic to have an intro which explains something of both, or perhaps an intro that plays when the client first loads to explain the universe & backstory, followed by a short intro explaining capsules & pod-pilots when you log into the game after creating your character.
The Dreams of Yasur video is very cool! Haven't come across that one before...
Perhaps they could use the screen in the Captain's Quarters to give players access to a bunch of video episodes that show/explain different aspects of EVE history, technology and backstory? |

New theme music while we're at it.
The Inferno music is funereal... It sounds almost like the Eve client is depressed. Now a funeral dirge can be fantastic (hear Beethoven's 7th), but this sounds more like Marvin the Paranoid Android wrote it. It has atmospherics, but in this case they are overcast Venus on a hot day.
I miss the Apocrypha music.
