Hi
I am an older player, & i would certainly be really pleased (i dont think me alone) if CCP atleast have a option to make font bigger in the UI, 12 & expanded thats all it can goes up to....please ccp....Thanks Gazibom

This is the most obvious and easiest way to improve EVE.
People have been asking for this for 6 years.

I agree. Years of staring at a PC screen have meant that I have to wear glasses. An option to increase the font size in set up would be a great idea.

Read the latest CSM minutes, they're changing the font to one developed in-house.

I like the idea. There are a lot of smaller 19-20" monitors that are out and affordable with 1080i resolutions. Smaller screen size with higher resolution means the need for larger font sizes.

That's why you will never see it.
Honestly, they are struggling to keep the pile of crap that is EVE online working without actually trying to improve it for people.

At least they should use a font, where those little charachters are more easily readable.
Il1 0O 8B and so on.
Different font sizes (for the whole UI) would offer an additional benefit.

I was reading the CSM minutes, and this was mentioned. If I remember correctly, CCP stated they are working on developing a new font - not quite sure why they can't license one already created, like Futura or Avenir or something.
Why don't they use the font currently used already? If you bring up the map you can see this font. It's also on the home page, and anywhere they need a much larger font. I think they can enable this and with a few UI tweaks, allow for font resizing.
I want to play EVE on my 55" in my livingroom!!

I would love to see and option to increase and or decrease the font size. If it will help people enjoy the game, than it is something we should look into it.

Probably far too obviously a good and required idea for CCP to consider it.
On my new dell 2600x1400 27" the font is tiny. And while you can blow it up larger in the chat boxes the supplied font is awful. I thought the new monitor was giving me headaches until I realized it was just Eve.

I remember way back in '05 when I started, there was a way to change the font that EVE used - live was great and I could read the text in the UI.
Alas, they changed that, and since my eyes have done much bleeding :-(

Even if CCP is creating their own font, don't expect too much from it. The problem here isn't the font, it's the windows themselves. Well the font could do with better 0, 6, 8 and so on.
But the biggest problem is:
To have room with a larger font, you have to make all windows, buttons, bars, tabs, menues, everything larger to encompass the larger font. That is a huge amount of work, they would essentially have to redo the whole UI (and if they're at it anyway they might as well redo it from scratch, meaning it would be an even bigger undertaking).
You know what would give exactly the same result for a minimal amount of work?
Lower the resolution!
If you're having trouble reading the small font, I'm sure you won't be noticing the lower resolution on the graphics anyway. And as an added bonus, the game will run better with less pixels to draw. Ok, so some font elements are still crappy, but at least you will be able to read it.

Good luck with this one, ive been trying to get CCP to address this issue for quite a while now with little success.
According to GM Octavia you will need to put this in the ideas discussion section since "the GMS read it" ???
You should also get in touch with the CSM and get someone to "take up the case" 
I have decided to take a different approach which revolves around this:-
GM Octavia states in his mail to myself "quite a few CCP employees suffer eyesight problems using the overview" and yet CCP as an employer will do nothing to solve this problem for its customers and more importantly its employees, thus they are breaking european disability and access laws for which Iceland has signed up to.
I have been to busy in rl to investigate, collate and gather this information since it makes pretty dry reading, but once the summer ends and i have more time i plan to follow this issue up and make this company responsible for the health of its employees and customers alike.
Increasing the overview font is no different to providing access to your company building to wheelchairs, its just CCP dosn't seem like it wants the hassle tbh.

Hm.. I think the latest patch messed with the fonts.. at least chat input fields are now bugged in smallest font settings for me.. already bugreported.
If the bugs, which crept up with the last patch are 'just' a taste of what's to come once CCP even slightly touches the UI god help us.
