So they finally rectify an issue that has had severe impact on ship fittings, fighting styles and strategies for complex running, not to mention pvp application, and the thing you moan about is ninja salvaging? Seriously?
The one time CCP goes back to an old system and tidies up inconsistencies to allow for more variation, you cry about the one thing that might be mildy inconvenient to people who can not fathom how to salvage things themselves.
I'm disappoint.

You suck at mission running then.
By the way, salvaging is not stealing. It's a perfectly fine profession. It sill doesn't pay as well as mission running done by a semi-capable person who does not loot any wrecks.
Even disregarding that, the last time i had a ninja in my mission was ages ago. If you're so afraid of someone going through your trash, run missions elsewhere. Your failure to do research does not indicate that there are no ninja-free systems with high level agents.
I find it mildly hilarious that you can not think of anything that a character skilled for mission running could do other than missions. (seriously, is that the only thing you can think of in eve? Even my mission running highsec alt can do more than missions..trade for example..and ratting, anomalies, some complexes, some scanning..)

SHC has been a hive for bouncing ideas around and theorycrafting for quite a long time now, and it's no secret that devs do, in fact, read other forums.
They never participate however, but instead lurk around.
The mwd in deadspace topic has been around since i started playing. There is no "after the fact", this has been going on for ages. Some 0.0 plexes had been changed a long time ago, probably well over 1 1/2 years before this thread's existence.
