This, and also: Because the people who told you Russians are just white Chinese people were lying. The Russian language and Cyrillic alphabet actually line up much, much better with Latin based languages than the Chinese tonal & logographic systems. As a result, plenty of Russian people speak fluent English and other European languages, and vice-versa. Barely any Chinese people speak anything other than their native dialect because their own language and writing is so unique they generally fail to grasp other systems of language on a fundamental level. Russians belong here. They actually have some hope of communicating with the rest of the server.

And as a demographic I highly doubt Russians were at the top of the list when EVE was developed and marketed. The fact remains that Russians do not fit in morally and ideologically with our western world, which I'm pretty sure should still be CCP's first and foremost consideration since we are still their primary market I'd guess.

The dronezone is depopulated because most do not realize you can make more money there than you can in most regions. The problem is that you also have a lot more logistics involved. It isn't just shoot the rats, get the money. You have to actually loot all the droppings, salvage the wrecks, and then you have to haul and sell to those willing to pay or refine and haul to empire to sell. Because of the extra steps involved many in EVE are not willing to do it. It also has fewer outposts than the other regions on average which scares folks. I vote against the OP idea......
