Edited by: getoutofmygalaxy on 01/09/2010 02:04:25 Hi, I recently bought an ETC from eve-codes.com which is on YOUR trusted sellers list.
This becomes an issue because there are COUNTLESS complaints on them, and they aren't responding to any of my emails, etc.
Since, they're on your website and are buying from you that makes you affiliated with them, and you're responsible for their actions to a degree.
Now, since they're "Trusted" but I have yet to get anything from them this begs the question, "Why the hell are they on your trusted sellers list?"
So, now I am asking you either do any of these options - -1 You refund me for the money THEY stole from me. -2 You give me their company's phone number. -3 You contact them and ask them to reply to me
and also,
I advise taking their excuse for a business off your trusted sellers list. If you honestly think I'll stand by and let money be taken from me then you're wrong.
It might just be 35$ but it's MY 35$ and I want it back.
I have filed a dispute, and of course it remains unanswered. I'm considering a chargeback going through my credit card company but that is just stress I don't want to go through. |

Edited by: getoutofmygalaxy on 01/09/2010 02:10:20 Yes, I tried emailing them several hours ago requesting a refund, and I've gotten nothing back.
CCP said they were trusted, and I'm sure I can find some legal obligation for them to refund my money if I have too. Since they said it was trusted.

Edited by: getoutofmygalaxy on 01/09/2010 02:12:58 They're a business, therefore they do not pay a full 35$ for the CCP timecodes or there is no profit. They also advertise the free 14 day trials.
They most likely DO have some sort of contract with CCP and that is why they haven't been taken off. This makes CCP responsible.
& Yes I did check my spam folder.

That is going on about how CCP cannot be charged back if the server goes offline or something.

Of course they have a contract with them.
They are advertising their site under trusted sites first of all. Second of all, they must be buying ETC's in mass, and thus under the normal price.
This would have to be worked out.
Either way, CCP is advertising their site which would require a contract for legal reasons most likely.

Are you a first-time customer ? If yes, the finalization of the transaction is most likely not automatic (very few sites would do it automatically for first-time customers). They will have to contact you first before releasing the code. They might also not have 24/7 customer support, and I have no idea in what time zone they're located. Do you ?
Long story short, there is still a chance you will get your code, and there is also a chance that if you don't get your code you will get your money back. But you won't know about it in just a few hours.
If the situation is still not resolved in, oh, say, a week or so, THEN AND ONLY THEN would CCP have a reason to even think about doing something.
The order was placed at around 4PM. Since they're based in the US (As advertised by CCP) business hours would of still been in effect. IF they were on the west coast then business hours were 100% in effect since that is 3 hours behind the east coast.

Anyone with a brain selling ETC's would know that they'd be dealing with different country's and different timezones.
I truly doubt that they would shut at 5PM when they're most likely expected to be taking a lot of different orders from many different times.

What one expects and what's real seldom matches...
They could have closed down already, or they could still be open but have such a heavy backlog they didn't get to you. Or, they could be focusing their entire staff on the EU primetime (it's end of night // extremely early morning now here), because let's face it, only people in the EU have a good reason to buy timecodes. People outside the EU could just as well buy PLEX pairs directly from CCP.
Then basing themselves in the US doesn't make much sense then does it?
You're also forgetting that they HAVE a bad reputation already.

Actually, yes it does make sense. If they would be based in the EU, nobody in the EU would buy from them, because they'd have to pay the same price they pay CCP (in Euros). They HAVE to be based outside the EU (to pay the same number, but in USD, not EUR - so a lot cheaper).
LOL? They don't charge you 15 Euros in europe. They'd charge you however many euros it is to amount to 15 USD. Which would be less then 15 seeing as the euro is worth more then the USD.

Troll. I will feed you. Because the company already has a bad reputation and I only looked when I realized I wasn't getting anything. The order was confirmed in less then 5 minute but I don't get the codes?

Relax, seriously. You're stressing out over $35 for no real apparent reason. Not sure about this place, but Shattered Crystal actually calls you and verifies you. They make sure you know what streets are surrounding your house, to ensure it isn't a stolen credit card. If the place you purchased your stuff from isn't 24/7 then you'll just have to wait until tomorrow to get an answer.
You act like every store in the world is 24/7. They aren't, and you're just going to have to be patient.
You didn't read the posts above.
They. Have. A. Bad. Reputation. Use google and you'll find it to be true.

I made an order, waited 2 weeks, no response, cancelled the order, waited 2 weeks, got my money back. During this time I sent them countless emails complaining and whining... no response...
Actually, making a big deal out of it might of helped. I got refunded.
The email was never answered or anything like that, but the claim with paypal seemed to get their attention.
Refunded, and going to order straight from CCP this time.

I just get really nervous when buying from a site that I don't know for sure is legit.
I just bought direct from CCP so I would assume everything would go just fine, seeing as they are the game owners themselves.
Sorry for all that guys, I just really hate it when I don't know all the facts, etc coming into a situation.
