Would like to be able to open my journal and right-click on my listed missions and see a counter on how much time is left.
If not yet accepted, standings penalty time left and give option to decline. If accepted, list bonus time and base time and give option to fail.

the time left is listed on the right side of the window, you might need to make it wider? double click gives you the details.

the standing penalty for timed out missions is gone since a few patches. though rejecting 2 missions in a row will still give penalty.
right clicking on the journal entry gives you the option to remove the mission, which will automatically decline the mission. I am doing that all the time with the stupid storylines.

double click will show the mission detail window, which also gives the time. never tried to remove an active mission, but it might work aswell.

Hmm, yes, the journal does list the base time. So my right-click menu addition would only have to show the bonus time
Having to reject the second mission is EXACTLY the issue I'm dealing with. Removing the mission only removes it from the journal. A simple test with any available agent shows the mission can be 'recovered' simply by talking with the agent again. No standings timers are triggerd, etc. The mission is ONLY erased from the journal. (which is actually unwanted in my case)
I realize that double-clicking will pull up the dialog window. Avoiding the dialog window is actually the entire point of this thread!!!!! :)

Then couldn't we add a 'complete mission' right click option as well? -------------------------------------------------------------- Fanboys would make great cult members. |

Uh...I suppose. Won't be useful for missions where you have to bring something back to the agent. But sure!

Update: double-clicking the journal entry actually doesn't open the dialog window. It opens the mission report. Please don't confuse this post and think that the mission report solves the problem I'm addressing in this thread. I'm just correcting an error stated earlier.
