Thanks again all! We'll get some more details out but yes... we did take Jita on the test hardware to the very edge and a tad past it. More details out next week.

This is not correct, I saw 2027 for sure. Had my eyes peeled on that score.
What you see in local chat and the actual connected sessions are not exactly the same. While there was some fluxuation I think CCP Explorer is the guy who would know ;)

Originally by: Quixis That's as maybe, it still hit 2027
No doubt that you saw 2027, it can depend on the timing of when the chat broadcasts were received.
I must correct my number upon further analysis, the record was 2023 (not 2025).

Do you have numbers for how many were on the various grids (outside 4-4, perimeter gate, etc)?
Not exact numbers, no. We were correlating the chat numbers vs. active sessions for the entire system.

My results:
Very terrible lag with the screen hanging up for up to a minute at time but I have an old system running XP and an nVidia 8600 GT card on a PCIe slot.
So I asked around to find the difference between server lag and client lag (rather than do the forum thing and put curses on CCP whilst using leetspeak).
I turned my graphics settings to "optimize for performance" (which is all the way down), and still had a hovering screen rate below 10. Someone said "turn off the overview" and that changed things a lot. There were moments where the screen hung for a few seconds or there would be around 10 seconds of a less than 10 FPS, but on the average I was getting an FPS in the upper 20s to low 30s at Jita 4-4. Elsewhere in the system I was over 100 fps.
What you are describing is client lag. Your video card wasn't able to keep up. How did you configure your overview and, more importantly, how did you configure the in-space brackets?
