Why aren't there more people subscribing to EvE?

I found that game when I started playing EvE. I suspect that this game became more immerse than originally intended by the developers, this is of course a good thing. Why would any ADULT leave this game and go back to another MMO? Will DUST 514 possibly increase the EvE population?

I'm just curious, because at 15m SP you'd have all the basic fitting skills/navigation/etc that apply to all ships, plus you'd be thoroughly into one or two specializations by the time you reached 15 mil. Of course there would need to be restrictions on what the first 15 million SP at 200% could be applied towards. BS/Carrier/Freighter/Hulk/Invention/HAC/Leadership/etc would be some examples of the restrictions I'm thinking of. This doesn't mean they can't train these, they simply would not get the 200% training bonus. Also make the first 15 mil at 200% NOT be modified by implants, so new players aren't forced to min/max for implants in order to compete and vets can't start alts with implants at 200%.
