Any SQL guru's out there that have the db.bak file loaded onto their own SQL?
Anyone by chance that might have already dumped all of the Item data?
I'm looking for a list of all of the items in the game and any stat information related available.
Very interested in seeing the Meta Level # for each item too.

Other one of those asked every week because people would rather post that look at sticky Try http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1376938 where you should find links and extractions for what you want which BTW was only a couple posts above yours when I read it -- Finds camping stations from the inside much easier. Yeah I know you should never read a sticky because it couldn't possible be important or anything right? -- Finds camping stations from the inside much easier. Designer of Yapeal for Eve API.

There is I didn't know that I've just always used Google myself since it always seems to find what I'm looking for but thanks for letting me know about the search thing I might have to try it next time before I post something on a forum for a game that has been around for years as I'm sure almost anything I could ask would have already been answered by now somewhere if I just looked around a little and probably several times before too. I bet a really good way to make a bad impression with others on the forums here would be post before doing any of the above right? -- Finds camping stations from the inside much easier. Hi troll and alt. Isn't that a database dump? Do you feel like teaching me SQL so I can load a server, open the backup file and then I'll need to know the basics in querying so I can actually get the data out of that DUMP of data. Yes, I read all of the stickies and unfortunately, I don't know enough about SQL to get what I want out of that. I figured it would be easier to ask if someone has already EXCTRACTED the items data from the entire EVE DUMP rather than request a how-to with SQL.
Ps, is it fun carrying on conversations with yourself? It's really easy to make yourself look cool like that, huh?
Please let me know if I missed something, but as it stands, I can't get the db.bak file to open with anything keeping the data comprehensive. Pretty sure when I read the REST of the information there, it required an SQL server.
I hope babbling on like that with yourself is entertaining, because other than that, it looks pretty useless.

We are not trolling, you just refuse to either read the linked sticky properly or to use the search function. --

The problem is.... yes one could just export the DB to cvs so you can open up excel... but that wouldn't give you much to work with, because that DB is heavily normalized.
Just to figure out all effects and attributes of an item, you need to query 5 tables. If you're trying to do that with the relation functions of excel you gonna get crazy befor you got a result.
Ex.: You want to have a look at the Shield HP of a shuttle. - You got an invTypes table where you look for the item name of the shuttle and take its itemID. - then you go to the dgmTypeAttributes where you look for the itemID to get all attributeIDs and values asociated. - But to see what the attributes mean, you then have to go to the dgmAttributeTypes table looking for the attributeID. - now as you got a plaintext representation of the attibute names, you look for the "Shield HP attribute", and the take value in the dgmTypeAttributes associated with them.
You definitly don't want to do this in excel.
If you want to play around with that db dump, get SQL 2008 express + management tools.

Catari Taga - I'll think about it but only if I get to pod you Now someone's got and told him a bunch of stuff instead of him having to learn something Thanks Chibisuke for spoiling it when we were just beginning to really have some fun Murq - I'm sorry for poking fun at you but it was that or start crying since we did answer you and you still refused to do any work. I am even more sad for anyone that was looking forward to using what you told them you would do because if you couldn't figure this out with all the help you been given I'm guessing your project won't get much of any where either. -- Finds camping stations from the inside much easier.
