The accepted procedure is:
Endlessly farm sanctums for 2 months, buy SC, then lose it in a hilariously terrible way.

I certainly enjoyed your mom's compression services last night!!
also you can get supercarriers in a 0.0 exploit; you make a safespot in the space of a big alliance, and sit there with drones out and mids full of shield extenders. after about thirty minutes youll either get scanned down by the alliance or a GM will take notice, laugh hysterically, and put you in a SC for the lulz.
seen it happen.

You do realize you are asking the most famous corp thief in EVE whether or not he acquired the supercarriers he stole by corp theft, right? ====== Your signature is freakishly huge for this forum. Please resize according to the forum rules, thanks. Shadow. |

GHSC are not limited to ONLY corp thefts...remember that Imperial issue apod for example? ;) (might have been an imperial geddon, but I think it was an apoc)

Bit of column A, bit of column B.
A while ago, we infiltrated and took over a small alliance, turned them into a warfighting force, and used them to attack certain other alliances for us, for reasons nobody has figured out just yet. We got intell on a Wyvern left in the first alliance's POS, and used our insiders to get it out - we then field-stripped it of gear using a carrier, for about 15 bil extra profit.
Shortly afterward, we saw another Wyvern ripe for the taking, even better equipped - but at the time, I was GH-SC's only Wyvern pilot. We could only find one buyer for the first naked Wyvern hull, and I didn't trust him, but if we wanted to get the second Wyvern before the alliance went into lockdown, I had to take a risk.
Naturally we got punked, only saw 1.5 billion profit for that hull. Tip of hat to Morris Falter, the only person in Eve Online to get one over the GH-SC. We made up for it though, by scoring the second hull moments before the alliance realized we were robbing them and locked down; stripping it of gear, then arranging to sell the hull through Chribba.
We then ambushed the guy who bought it after the transaction concluded, and ransomed him for a further 20 bil. Officer gear sold for another 30 bil easy, I think we still have some lying around.
I don't even recall who we stole this one from. Been a while.

When you have gotten the point to where you forgot where you stole a supercarrier from, well... People always ask me for my Rupture fit after I blow up their Abaddon. |

You'd be amazed at the dumb risks people take with valuable ships.
As I hinted in my post above, no actual intelligence is required to get a supercap if you can bring enough brute persistence. So the kind of people who are prepared to do nothing but endlessly grind rats quite often end up with SCs. These are exactly the kind of people who are so ignorant of game mechanics that they leave a supercap sitting unpiloted.
