Not without getting Caught and Fined afaik. You used to be able to transport inside a shuttle in your cargo hold but Devs nerfed that.
Afaik a smuggler system is in the works or something. ---------------------------

Can't you still make a starter character with the at least one of the necessary skills for transporting contraband? Maybe all you need is a really fast ship. I turned down the last 2M dollar job.. but if I was offered 40M I would definitely have to try it at least.

There are skills for that. Blackmarket I think. Not sure though.
I heard there's only a slight chance you get scanned at gates by customs, and the skill gives you another chance not to get caught.
Who tried it ?

Hey I have a really cool idea! Lets put in illegal substances into the game, where you will get fined and have the stuff confiscated! Also we'll add this cool feature called Loyalty Points, where you can aquire some cool, useless junk from your agent. Then lets make it so that 95% of the Loyalty Point offers require something that is illegal! To top it all off, we won't impliment a single game mechanic that allows for smuggling these illegal items through space for at least a few months after!!! PURE GENIUS!!! ---------------

Yes, there is a way. Black Market Trading was given to every brave soul, myself included, who chose that dark route on the first day out in the universe. Only since Exodus has it become useful. The current base rate for being caught is 60%, every level reduces this by 10%.
That's all there is to know.
