Fixed. The cross-overs almost universally sucked anywayà ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |

Originally by: Professor Tarantula As cool as it might be, i'm kind of expecting them to do something like create a bottleneck between every area that will be camped and force the majority of players to remain in the starter area.
They fixed that problem two years ago by giving people malleable privacy spheres that you could always pass throughà
àthe comment was along the lines of "well, we have heard about these guys called 'goons' and we decided that the pool wouldn't be closed". ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |

Originally by: Razor Vision You know, now that I think about it, I cannot believe there hasn't been a good attempt at a Vampire MMO done yet by any big gaming company.
Easy.
It's not a folow-the-leader WoW-clone. It's not a Hollywood franchise IP cash-in. It requires player-generated drama.
All of these means that all other MMO manufacturers are inherently incapable of creating it. Blizzard might, but it's not one of their IPs, so there goes that possibility.
àthe only question is: how on earth do we get CCP to pick up the Shadowrun IP? ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |

Pff! SR4 is almost as good as SR2! ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |

Maybe not the original intention, but they are the target audience for the game. If you spend any time with larger fan groups of the VTM you will find that it is dominated if not by angsty pop culture influenced teens then by angsty pop-culture influenced 20 somethings.
Maybe, but those who started playing it back when it was good have now turned into pop-culture influenced 40 somethingsà (angst is optional).
àand I do believe that VTM was very keen on the good old "age and guileà" quote, soà ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |

Originally by: Tres Farmer Hm.. why does this backgroundstory remind me of Blade?
Because the comic was one of the inspirations they used for the original setting. ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |

Originally by: Contactman I want realistic populations of vampires.
That wouldn't make it much of an MMO, thoughà
Quote: I want well functioning elders. (NPCs obviously)
Why NPCs? It's the elders that set the politics and social arenas in motion (although ancillae will be the outwards movers and shakers).
Quote: Generation as we know it, will probably have to go, for balancing purposes.
ànah. Om nom nom nom.
Quote: But more than anything, I want a static and unchanging setting where what the players do never will have any "real" impact.
I'm not entirely sure CCP are up to (down to) the task of doing something that boringà
What do you mean by "real" impact? If the arenas don't change and there is no back-and-forth between the clans and coteries, it just wouldn't be Vampire. ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |
