I know it's prolly been said and suggested...
I have been watching the serires on TV at the mo and been thinking.. Amazing race EVE styles.
WHat are the chance of getting something like this organized? with the blessing of CCP and CCP doneating a huge prize for the winning team of two.
Say Navy issue Battle cruisers or a nice bit of hardware that will binifit the winner somehow.

No that is get from A - B asap and win...
Amazing race conisist's say ten teams of two.
Say They all start in frigate and from there can swap ships as they see fit..
Lets say all ten teams start in say Esa for arguments sake.
Each team atthe start gets a book mark in which to fly somewhere in the system to get thier first clue...
From there they then take off to a set co ord somewhere say 29 jumps away where they complete a set task. say Get a sansha Palladium tag. Once that is done they then head off to a station where they get more instructions... but each time a task is set, the team that completes it last or fails to Looses.
See what I mean?....
The great race is still a race at the end.
At least this way you have to complete set tasks anyway u can.

I hate to point out the fact that were I in that race I'd get to the first bookmark and shoot everyone else... I'm sure lots of people would do the same...
Instead lets have an event for everyone with high pirate standings, Blood Raiders forever!

This is a very good idea.
I would like to participate if this was actually done.
I can still only see this as a dev run event, with Polaris or who¦m ever can take care of security along the way.
The last person to do the task or anyone who fails in doing so get¦s booted off.
Also anyone who fires on another participant in the race get¦s eliminated from the race. That¦s where strict security would be needed.
Rewards should be very good, but repurcussion for cheating/attacking illegally should be severe also.
Like double the sec loss or something like that, or even more.

I would be in on something like this for sure
in response to kehmore, proposal of just kill us all, could run with each of the destination in carebear land just how you get there is up to you? still can gout out in 00 then its just a race to be there at the same time - a ship fitted for speed versus a ship fitted to kill, but if he beats you to the gate then 
would be fun

kehmor, dont be a **** stirrer. if you did those things, not only would you forfeit your win, you would make you and your corp a target to a vast crowd. i suggest you think twice.

The amazing race sucks ever since teh couple from south dakota finished last in like season 4 or 5 or maybe 3
