fitted cargo expanders, filled hold, flew to jita, emptied hold, opened fitting screen and all cargo expanders were grayed out like if they were offline, but clicking on them was only producking "module is already online" message :) right clicking and selecting "put offline" also didnt work
I had this problem even before patch and it was something in high slot (can't remember exactly what module I had there) - reloging fixed problem....
Yes, I had the same thing with heavy launchers in Ferox before the patch a few times, only relogging/switching ships/repackaging helped then. But this time it happened to low slots, and I was able to take them off with a mouse no problem

UPD: At last, hire some usability specialists and dedicated UI team. And some testers. It seems like CCP doesn't have any of them. It's not funny to pay for beta testing.
THIS!
new ones:
-When clicking manufacture on a BPC, selecting slot and clicking OK the window with mineral/skill list is now by default SMALL and cropped with scroll bar. I do NOT run FULL HD on 21' to have to scroll small windows !!!!!! Before this 1.1 poo same thing would happen every 10-20 times, but all you had to do was, close and open again to have full size uncropped window with no scroll bars. Not to mention you cant (never could) even resize this window.
-loading new avatar makes my WHOLE SCREEN microfreeze and then flicker, almost as new avatar loading code loads the picture to wrong buffer destroying screen content for 1 frame
-huge lag when opening fitting screen. It used to take 1 second (too long, but still "only" 1 second) as the homosexual fitting screen didnt just appear, but was "animated", and by animated I mean every slot was drawn separately with delay so you had to watch them appear one by one, and then get filled one by one. It takes about 2 seconds now, HUGE waste of time
-some people report fitting icons too big, I dont see any difference on my screen (nvidia), maybe its driver/platform specific?
- "loss of green star in chat windows for corp members", well I didnt have them long before the patch so I dont think its a new bug. I finally gave my own corp good standing so I could at least see them blue in local :/

There is a bug in this link to the announcement... The first link leads to an access denied page as it is attempting to moderate something, the second link leads to a thread instead of a forum :p

Edited by: ZMAG0 on 01/10/2010 19:26:19 when modifying prices on market orders, there is an obsolete empty space behind the 2 decimal spaces that has to be deleted each time i have to change a price, its annoying and should be removed ( imagine the ***.01 price-war )
also ... Scanner; when i scan again using directional scanner, the results are displayed again but it gets scrolled back to the results i was looking previously and not to top as we were used to, is that a 'new feature'?

This patch is a perfect, beautiful small-scale illustration of exactly what is wrong with CCP's development process. It doesn't really matter how big the game is or how much testing you actually do (which I'm sure is quite a bit), you aren't doing enough testing. I know I'm talking to a wall, since this has been obvious for at least the last year and CCP's response has essentially been "customers just don't understand how game design works."

Realy CCP? All these client issues and they weren't detected on SISI, come on. There is absolutely no reason for this especially when the client we have been testing on sisi had none of these issues.

I wouldn't be so harsh. I am a developer by profession so I really know what's "This release IS GOING TOMORROW ANYWAY". Any good programmer who really likes his job wants his code to be a piece of art - perfectly readable, extensible, with no need of refactoring. Then a high manager (mostly a man who can't distinguish Ctrl from Shift) comes along and sets release date from the very ceiling. And here we have it. Dear CCP high management! Programming isn't some sort of sausage production!
I personally like the way Blizzard does it. They can hold new patch/addon/game for a while just to fix as many bugs and troubles as they can!

Edited by: Torineal on 01/10/2010 19:43:36 Considering how much this last patch broke, you'd think there would be news on the main page about it or this "optional patch" coming
How many new players does eve get everyday? Probably over 100. How many do you think are going to keep playing when their only experience in EVE is a broken interface that won't save window positions or size.
Pathetic.
Maybe you shouldn't be developing 2 other games if you can't even provide a decent patch to the one that's made your company what it is today, and is your only source of income since it's your only released game. You loose your eve players you loose everything.
If you can't handle a small patch for EVE, then it's time to scratch DUST and WOD.

On "transfer corp cash", the amount box is prefilled with "0.10", but only the "0.1" part is selected, so when you enter "100", the input box actually contains "1000", which leads to easy mistakes in ISK transfers.

Without meaning to sound like im taking the p*ss, has this optional patch been tested sufficiently today to know that it isnt going to screw anything else up for those that apply it?

Issue with the high slots. When mouse-clicking the weapons, all empty slots suddenly appear. Then one of the high slots does not respond to mouse-click anymore. Weapon must be activated by F-key.
Overview suddenly opens over whole page and can't be made smaller. Only after docking and un-docking again, overview looks normal again.
Different problems with the Fleet overview. Whole overview disappears, then only the member names disappear.
On the bright side, the shorter survey times on the planets.

Yes, this is why I'm complaining about the development process, something not always under the control of the developers themselves. Though in this case one has to wonder if they even loaded this build onto the test server before going live with it.

My thoughts exactly. I have very little faith that they aren't going to introduce something else that makes the game less fun.

optional 1.1 patch tomorrow DOES NOT address client stability!!1 wtf? eve is UNPLAYABLE with random client crashes rollback now or risk loosing many players, i mean this in sincere hope that you will listen, and FYI, whoever was the manager in charge of releasing tyranis 1.1 to production should be reprimanded, seriously.
IT IS NOT PRODUCTION READY, back to SISI 4 u! kthx bye

Edited by: Morar Santee on 01/10/2010 20:14:41 - Progress on partially trained skills (except the one currently in training) was deleted on my character.
- When resizing windows, the "snap" function is no longer displayed. When moving the window it is displayed, but not when resizing. So you never know if it will actually work as intended.

Haven't read the whole thread, I have 2 issues:
1) No progress bar shown for partially trained skills in char sheet or skill planner, but putting the skill in the queue shows progress hasn't been lost.
2) Stacked char sheet and skill planner, remove skill in training, add a new one, press apply --> focus switches to character sheet and char sheet window contents jump 30 pixels (ish) to th left while the window border stays where it is.
Will log these when I have time to update drivers and investigate.

The only option guys is to remove your subscriptions and leave EvE for a while, go play something else for a while and let CCP know with your cash.
Whining here means nothing, as your account is still listed as being billed.

Dear CCP,
as a beta tester from 2002, you really need to take this SERIOUSLY.
Here is my offical protest, in the strongest pictoral form I know, this should hopefully get some serious action by senior management.
1.1 optional patch is NOT ENOUGH, the client is crashing randomly. I run a super clean XP with 100% upto date drivers.
I'm glad your drop down box on cancelation includes the option I selected. Good luck.

There is no way I could possibly read all 20 pages so I am sorry if that was reported erlier:
1. When fleet window is stacked with overview window pointing any member of fleet causes overview window to move to top ( swiching tabs ) resulting in being unable to use fleet window. This happens no matter if windows are pinned together or not.
2. On-board directional scanner used to scroll scan list back to top after each scan. It doesn't do it any more. Is that intentional?

Continued lines in chat windows are not indented anymore.
E.g. it used to be:
Some Name > Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipisicing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt
It's now:
Some Name > Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipisicing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt
The former is much easier to read, and conventional from other chat mediums like IRC.

Dont worry, wallet update scrolls Assets list back to the top so it evens out :/

I have also noticed one other issue not listed on the main post.
There is now severe lag when messing with your skill training queue and when you hit apply it will close the window. |

confirm, I used to be able to click 3 times at normal speed in a row on a skill category tab and it would reliably open/close/open, now it takes over a second for the tab to open so fast browsing is out of the question.
soin a word UI speed REGRESSION.

I have not had problems after updating with my Windows 7 and Vista Machines, however on my Mac Machines after downloading the patch, I can not patch, OS X keeps saying that the files have been modified please remove and reinstall the client. Why should I have to re-download the massive game file and reinstall again? This is confusing to me, please help, I've installed patches before on the Mac's and never had a problem.

btw MAP is still not fixed
I can see "you are here" in TWO different places on the map :/
But map, and overall 3d, rendering seems to be improved, feels somewhat more fluid .... until UI code does something like updating the wallet, then FPS goes down the toiled for one second and its **** again.
