Good luck, VOTF guys.
Foyle isn't the only loose noodle that has hijacked an alliance. In fact, 7 months ago I tried in vain to explain how the CA used to be, and how it was good...and where it was heading if things did not change. Noone was too interested in listening to the points I was trying to make. Unfortunately, what took center stage was a clash of egos and personality conflicts. The real issues were not being addressed.
They still aren't.
Nothing changed, and in fact... several rogue elements were allowed to dig their fingernails even deeper into a previously respectable alliance, and continue to tear that alliance apart from the inside out. For a year now I have watched the decline...as have many others.
The gutter snipe we all know as Foyle, with her 40 year old cigarette voice and screaming kids in the background...was allowed to somehow finagle her way onto the TS channels and Alliance Board. In no time at all she seemed to be making decisions that would affect far senior members than herself.
This was not the beginning of the end for many corps and members of CA...but it was a good start. In fact...if you go back to around this time period and look at how many familiar corps and pilots have since found new homes outside the CA, a clear picture might start to emerge. Foyle is not the only problem within the CA...but she is a good portion of it. As long as the remaining corps and deciding members continue to allow the problems that have been present for a long time now, to percist...the exodus will continue.
VOTF being a founding member corp of the Curse Alliance have always garnered some amount of respect from the community at large. To see them leave based on what has transpired is sad indeed. They were one of the last respectable elements of a once great alliance. I find it sad to see how within such a relatively short time span, we now see one of the pillars of the CA leave. The CA is nowhere near the Alliance it once was, certainly not without VOTF.
I sincerely wish all the very best for all members of VOTF. You will be much better off without what you are leaving behind.
I wish you all the best.
