I was looking for some good agents to run mission with, and I found quite a few that seem be profitable running for, but the problem is that the 0.5 or 0.6 system that they're in usually has 1 low sec system connected to it. I know that for couriers they like you to send you there for some stupid reason, but what about for kill missions? Has CCP fixed the problem where 0.5 or 0.6 agents send you to low sec for kill missions or do they just usually send you to the current system and the neighboring high sec?
If its just couriers then I can deal with it, but if they want to send me to gate camps in a pve fit then I'm not interested.

I mission in a 0.5 system that had a 0.4 next to it and a couple of 0.6 and higher system next to it, my Agent has never sent me to that low sec system despite the fact the system I was at had usually 50-100 in local.
I might be just lucky or but In my experience I haven't had that problem yet.

I have found it to be somewhat rare but it still does happen. The trick is to find a system with only one way out, that minimizes the unpredictability of systems in which the missions will take place in --- I think violence in games only causes violence in real life if the person in question has an insufficient mental capacity to deal with the real world in the first place |

I've once had a L1 agent try to send me 3-4 jumps away into low sec to kill some rogue drones. I passed on that one.

Check ur F11 map.
My combat missions seem to go to systems within the same constelation, including storyliners.

When I was doing level 3s for Hyasyoda Corp in a system like that, the agent attempted to send me into low-sec for courier and kill missions both fairly frequently -- often enough that I'd have to accept some of the missions or switch agents because of the penalties for declining multiple missions. Surprisingly I never ran into a gate camp doing the missions, but if you're doing level 4s it's probably a lot more likely.

Edited by: Hunter Ace on 06/10/2010 19:52:24 Doing level 1 and 2 missions in systems neighboring 0.4 systems and I get sent there all the time. Mostly for courier stuff but occasionally for kill missions....both times I accepted a mission like this I ended up getting pod killed by random outlaws.
I don't take low sec missions anymore.

Umokka (0.6) has a L4 Q10 agent....its a dead end system with a string of hisecs leading to it.
Other systems i've missioned at tend to send me to lowsec within a couple of jumps. As people said, it doesn't happen often, but it happens enough the be annoying. Ichoriya, for example, has a string of lowsec systems next door. Declining a lowsec courier mission only to get stuck with a lowsec kill mission immediately after is incredibly annoying, and was bad enough to make me not want to mission there any more.

Parrot #1: Combat missions are only generated within the same constellation that the agent lives in

Bad polly! No parrot cake!
I've found that if there's a losec adjacent you're liable to get sent there as often as you get sent to any other adjacent system. There appears, anecdotally, to be a restriction that your missions will not be out-of-constellation, or maybe Region.

I would say that the easy answer is yes, I live on 0.5 system and I have a 0.4 system next to me and got 2 missions there a couple of days ago.
Plus I got a mission to a 0.2 system that was 7 low sec jumps away (using no restrictions on the route) and something like 14 jumps way using safe route (though the safe route still had 2 jumps in low sec).
I chosed the 7 low sec jumps and kept my finger crossed.
