But I drink ridiculous amounts of coffee too.
I work nights/earlies and I drink too much caffeine to keep me alert. I get a numb sensation in the outer two fingers of each hand .... and sometimes down the side of my face .... is this a stroke warning? Effects worsen if I smoke
If this is a serious post you should go get your blood pressure checked along with your cholesterol and general circulation etc as those are some of symptoms of a TIA which is a kind of stroke that resolves itself quickly, usually in minutes but can last hours.
Excess caffeine and smoking puts you in an at risk group and I am guessing you have a poor diet with lots of food on the go, not necessarily overweight or anything just poor quality convenience foods with high salt and saturated fat content as it sounds like that's part of your lifestyle.
Seriously get it checked it could save you and your family a lot of trouble in the future.

Yep it was a serious post and yes I have a poor diet on top of it all. Was trying to be light hearted about it, but will certainly go and see my GP about it now. And to all those who have a favourite alcoholic drink .... alcohol makes things much much worse. Enjoy, but take it easy |

Gave up hard liquor when I was 25, so nowadays I just drink beer, Hefeweizen specifically, a habit I picked up from a German ex-gf when I lived with her in Freiburg for a while. I'm spoiled now, as after a decade of drinking Hefeweizen almost exclusively, with its characteristically rich and thickly textured flavour, regular pilsener beer comes across as diluted mouth wash.
Oh, and hideously expensive red wine too, such as Vega Sicilia. Tastes even better when someone else is paying for it.
Aside from that, I enjoy drinking what I call a SnowFlake: black American-style coffee while smoking weed. The underlying principle is the same as with a SnowBall (mixture of heroin and cocaine), but without the bit about hard-drugs: mixing an upper with a downer, balancing each other out. Like the yin and the yang. Or the sun and the moon. Balance.

Vodka, either on of "Russian Standard" brand or "Beluga". Straight out of freezer, if you serve it with rocks you're a scrub. Seriously, don't do it.
