Got this wrecking hit today and was curious if anyone has had a bigger one. I know it came shooting at a can (I was testing a setup), but thought it was pretty impressive anyway............
2005.01.04 01:06:17 combat Your 1400mm Howitzer Artillery II
perfectly strikes Small Secure Container [AWECO], wrecking for
2144.6 damage.
Can anyone top that? For those that may ask I have every gunnery skill at level 5 (except large arty special which is at 4 and training to 5), Mim BS at 5, and when large arty finishes training in 16 days I will have over 9 million sp in gunnery.

you can get better with officer guns. I think Meridus has one in his sig with an officer tachyon for abit more than that.

Yes the ability to hit a stationary container that has no resistances for an impressive number while having a ludicrous amount of skillpoints invested in it is obviously a sign that they need no work

Actually.... lows are 4x Domination Gyro, 1x Mizuro Modified Tracking, 1x RCU2. My standard low slot loadout.
Indeed it was a stationary can and I totally agree that proj's still need lots of help.

hehe I've flown with that hooligan more than a few times, i wouldnt doubt at all that fool can out dmg the lot of you. I mean the guy trades 60 mil guns for fun

My highest hit on a player with my normal PVP setup (just 2 Gyro II and a low slot tracking enhancer) is in my sig.
I'll see if I can top that hit in about a week, when I finish the skills I need for large artillery spec =D
btw this is a recent hit, few days ago, I'm not including hits from way back before the artilleries were nerfed.

this was quite a while ago when huntin serpentis, have been training gunnery since this. and im 4 hours away from large tech2 blasters

anchored a secure container later just to fire on it with 7 tech2 dmg mods with my megathron and got a hit of about 2300. but anyway, a can has no resistance :P

I know i have the pic somewhere in this mess called a computer...
Anyway, there is a guy on the forums here that have a clipped out screenshot as a sig that shows him doing over 8k dmg on a cruiser with a Mega Pulse... Don't ask me how 
Might be edited though, but just so you knew

If the can moved at 1m/s he wouldnt hit ****.
Tracking of projectiles are so bad its scary.
Best hit(s) ever was 2 in a row from 1200-1800 hp on a npc BS (Megathron).
And that without a single dmg mod on an Tachyon setup APOC.

I got around 1800 with Cormack's Modified Neutron Cannon.. thats with a 4 second rof or something. Most damaging weapon in the game, hands down :)
And I own it, mwahahaha. *cough* *cough* *gag* 
so yeah, all you 1400mm fanboys can go cry in a corner now :P

With two named tracking computers I hit for over 1000 all the time. I hit with regularity in the 600-900 range vs anything that moves short of frig class ships. Projectiles do need plenty of help though as I should not have to use valuable mid slots for the tracking boost that are needed for defensive mods. I can understand having to fit one tracking computer to hit with regulaity, but not two.

Now i hate to come out and call anyone a falt out lier, but you sir, are lying. In order for you to get a wreking of 2300 with antimatter ammo, you would need a damage modifer of 16 or greater. Even with 7 damage mods and all skills to lv 5 including large spec 5, you would not have that. The highest i have gotten was a little test with an officer 1400mm, had a damage mod of 17.72 with a wrecking of 3240.something. With my normal PVP setup i get wreckings of 2216ish with ariund a 16.7 damage mod, 8.3 second rof. No gankageddon, but there are ways to beat them with that pure damage setup

While on the test server with my buddy Borg Fusion, he smacked me around in my Dom with his Tempest. I believe it was somewhere around 1450 DMG with his 1400mm Scout. Damn shot took about all my shields down in one shot.

ON a 1400 My best hit is 937.5
