First off, blitzing missions (killing everything and warping off) is only one way to get good isk, you lose out on a lot of potential isk by not looting and salvaging (keeping in mind that doing so takes more time, so it's more a matter of preference moreso than anything else).
That being said, for killing sh*t quickly:
Sansha/blood/rogue drone missions: Nightmare Guristas/serpentis/EOM(and I think mercenaries as well) missions: navy dominix (with 425mm rails, very skill intensive) Angel missions: CNR with torps or a macharial
Best overall: CNR/macharial (CNR is better, but requires a lot of SP, a lot of micromanaging and good knowledge of the missions you're running to perform well)
Keep in mind the nightmare/navy domi will be better than the overall better ships if you're doing em/therm or kin/therm missions respectively, so if you find yourself running lvl 4s against a certain type of rat most of the time then you can probably pick a better choice than the mach/CNR (which are both amazing ships in and of themselves) |

I see... But neither of these ships seems to do 500m/s or near that..
And we need that to fly the 30km or more to gates in "I am annoying mission that wants you to move"

The fastest way to do missions is to do them semi-AFK while doing other stuff like watching TV, making dinner or reading a book, etc... This way you can effectively run more missions all around.
Ishtar, Dominix or Rattlesnake are the best mission-ships for this reason imho.

were here looking for a ship, doing like MINIMUM 500dps and the same in m/s, with afterburner on is ok, no mwd.

Edited by: Caildir CorWe on 10/10/2010 20:33:00 IDK, it seems my friend would run missions with his Golem and tank everything, on his way to the gate, then I would come in and help blast the crap out of everything, so to run missions quickly group up, where you both can get the missions from the same Agent and then go to town. and Also have a friend come through and salvage afterwords. __________________________________ Rule 1: 87.3% of all nerf calls should be deleted, and the OP Smacked. Ishtar has ~500 DPS if you fit turrets (350-450DPS depending on drones without turrets) and does 600m/sec.
Flying missions semi-AFK is still more effective overall, as you can do 4-5 missions during the evening, without spending more then 2 hours actively infront of your PC.

Can we see a setup doing these 800dps and 600m/s? Playing with eft I seem to be inable to make such one with 1400mm howitzers, tanking and no crap booster

800mm Autocannons are your friend and don't try armor-tanking it.
My advice would be a Vargur tho, as it deals comparable damage, just a tad slower at 450m/sec, but can fit a better tank and has spare high-slots for tractor-beams and salvagers. Oh and it uses 50% less ammo.

Honestly you need 2 ships...
But you can put out 550 dps rat spec damage and still fit an AB on the Ishtar, you can do something similar in a Domi. And put on more dps using guns.
TBH I use a domi and an ishtar, if there are distance gates and I am blitzing I use the Ishtar, if you need to slug it out I use my 880dps fit DOmi. Granted an uber pimped NIghtmare is better but your looking at 1.5 bill isk to putt it off. But I forget if you can fit an ab on that fit. ------- "Because the Dominix is the Chuck Norris of Eve!" |

Ever heard of FallOff? You basically don't loose much damage at up to 20km.

An 1100 DPS mach with 72km falloff is going to get ODd by a nightmare/domi at like 5km, or a CNR at any range. Sure you have 72km falloff, but you're doing less than half your eft dps at that range.
As for the whole speed issue: There really aren't that many missions that make you go through gates 40km away. Off the top of my head I know the recon missions do (none of them actually needing a BS since you dont need to shoot anything, but I personally like to wait around for the BSs in the first one at least, which take longer than the trip to the gate does with a nightmare anyway)and one other mission whose name I can't remember (something against sansha, a 3 pocket mission with the gates 30km away, first room wastes a bit of time but the second one has enough stuff that you should be shooting up until about the point you get to the gate anyway)
Point is, don't put too much importance on ship speed.
EDIT: Just so you know why I choose the ships I do: Navy domi :1100 DPS with like 45km optimal, rather skill intensive Torp CNR: 1200 DPS+ easy, but even with a pair of painters it's hard to apply the dps on target, has about 40km range with good skills Nightmare: 1100 DPS at 40+KM optimal Machariel: 1100 DPS at 3km, but with awesome tracking, high enough falloff to still kill stuff quickly at 20-30km, and the speed to get into range fairly easily |

Varg is the hands down fastest an best mission runner. when you can get 22 mil bounty's per mission, an you can run them all in record time, its one of the most broken ships in eve, an very fun.

There is no single ship that will run all missions the fastest.
The best OVERALL is probably the Mach or the CNR imo. As it just hits the maximum amount of checkboxes in all possible use cases. Vargur and Golem are pretty much right there with them too and have the added bonus of salvaging/looting.
But once again depends on a lot of things.
Space your mission running in.. Your skills.. The actual missions..
Ultimately, you want either Mach/Vargur or CNR/Golem and a Tengu on hand, the Tengu is for the cruiser heavy/speed boat missions.

why do you need the ship to move 600 m/s ? In missions that require you to move a ship moving 100m/s can get you to the gates about the same time verything is dead.

The overall fastest Caldari blaster ship to do missions with is the Rokh. It also happens to be the most stylish mission running ship in the game and you'll find a lot of rats self-destruct or jettison mission objectives for you. Very convenient if you happen to like blitzing.
Hope that clears things up for you OP.

Edited by: Bigg Gun on 11/10/2010 08:53:03 Golem does consistent high DPS vs bigger targets. So if the mission consists of mostly BC , BS, and not many frigates that's a good ship to use. You use target painters to light up smaller targets so you can apply more of your damage. Using T2 high dps rage torpedoes it does about 1100 DPS vs well lit, slow moving targets. ROF about 7-7.5 secs. The navy raven usually is fitted with cruise missiles launchers and it does about 500-700 DPS depending on missiles
Nightmare and PAladin are the 2 laser ships used for high end missions. Nightmare is the shield tank , Paladin the armor tank. Most fits use tachyons lasers with navy multifrequency crystals. Using faction ammo gives you extra DPS and since tachyons have long range you can use them almost in all missions without using longer range but lower DPS ammo. Both do about 950-1000 DPS + whatever the drones do(usually VS smaller targets)
Vargur and Machariel, use autocannon fits. ACs have very small optimal range but very high falloff. What this means is that up to 40km or so you keep about 80% of your DPS and from there up to 70 it keeps going lower. At 70 most hits would be "scratches". Most people usually use T1, non faction ammo, which gives you from 950 to 1000 or so DPS with the machariel holding a small edge. The mach also has a larger drone bay which lets you use 4 heavy or sentry drones to compliment your main damage(just an example 4 garde2 drones with perfect skills will do about 240 DPS). The mach can go about 500 with t1 AB.
The main advantage of the mach and vargur is that they don't have to rely on drones for smaller targets - ACs will hit almost any target(including frigates) as long as it's at 20+ km range. So if you had to take out a frigate in a lvl 4 mission with a golem you'd have to hit it 5-6times x 7-7.5secs(or 30-40 secs, it's why people just send drones), with the mach you can hit the target as it's approaching you and take it out in 1 shot in 3.15 seconds(the mach's ROF).

I'm personally enjoying blitzing missions with a regular Dominix. Rack of 350mm rails, T2 racial sentries depending on rats, all hits out to about 80k and affords usually around 800-900 dps (max of about 920dps with antimatter and garde II's at 35km).
Only annoyance is travel time if gates are some distance away, as you have to stay with sentries in order to scoop them. I usually take out most of the stuff, pull sentries and use the rails to take the rest while slowboating to the gate.
