I'm thinking of sticking an alt in Jita for trading purposes.
Here are the skills I'm thinking of training:
Trade IV
Retail IV
Broker Relations II
+any learning skills which will decrease the total time training (I'll use Evemon to calculate this.)
I'm also going to probably use a remap right away to get these skills up as fast as possible.
This alt will be on my main account, therefor I want to limit the amount of training time to a minimum. However if I understand the training system properly, I will get 2x the training speed on this new alt therefor this will delay my main less than I originally thought.
I'm not entirely sure how corporation taxes affect sell orders sales, but just in case, I plan to have this character in a corporation with a 1% tax rate.
At first glance, this looks pretty straight forward, but I'm quickly learning in Eve that nothing here is straight forward as it initially seems.
Do these skills look appropriate? Am I forgetting anything? Am I training something I really don't need to?

* Accounting and Broker Relations to IV
* margin trading is the best tool to utilize your cash
* procurement/daytrading/visibility to I at least, so you can avoid Jita lag
* trade-> retail 4 is for a start enough
Taxes & fees depend entirely on those first 2 mentioned skills and the standings to the station holding (NPC) corp.
You can't tax a salesman player-corp wise.
You should be able to get a decent alt trader up in 2 weeks (thats w/o remapping or implants):

I often see mention of standing affecting fees/taxes but have not seen anything about how much?
Also, how high do you want to get the standing to minimise these fees?
Finally, for Jita I assume you want Caldari Navy standing?
Sorry to highjack the thread but it seems relevant to the OP.

Thanks for the information everybody. I've created my trading alt, and between implants and blowing two remaps, I'm almost done with rank 4 in most of the skills listed above.
Also, that equations page is extremely useful. Thanks again.
