Monday 11 October, at 19h47 EVE time, one of the most expensive mission battleship of the universe was ganked and destroyed by capsuler pirates in high secure space in Irjunen solar system (security status ranked 0.5). Estimated loss is about 20 billion isks.
Kill Report
Of course, Concord came and neutralised all the 10 pirate's battleships from Inf1dels's, but their target was destroyed, and the pirates loots for about 6 billion isk modules. How such a thing can be possible in high secure space ? We are aware that, despite of his incredible firepower, Concord cannot neutralise 10 ships fast enough to prevent them from destroying one targeted ship. What is unacceptable is that, for their forfeiture, these pirates will only be sanctioned by a symbolic standing loss regardless to inflicted damages. However, what is much more unacceptable is that these pirates are perpetuating their crimes for more than a month causing many casualties among innocent mission runners. Concord should ban them for a time to dissuade high sec pirates from acting. They have the power to do this, and they did it in the past : Remember a few years ago, the incident where peoples killed over 90 capsuler's ships in one high secure system by tanking concord. Concord took measures, but they also banned the criminals by locking their capsule during one complete month.
Concord should guaranty peace inside the empire. So, why do they let pirates ruining their efforts by letting their best agents being destroyed ? In a time where rumours of Sancha invasion runs across the stars, we can ask ourselves if a galaxy wide conspiracy is not growing. It looks like if Sansha Nation was preparing the path by eliminating the most dangerous defenders of the empire. Now, mission runners will stop building powerful ships, and this will reduce empire's defences against piracy. Who is working for Sancha nation ? Inf1dels, or CONCORD ??? Let's prepare the fight to defend our beloved Empire !
ALL TOGETHER FOR THE EMPIRE !
Now, mission runners, you are warned. Never build powerful ships anymore, there is no hope for you !

What kind of idiot puts so much isk into such a poorly setup mission boat?
High sec should NOT be a safe haven for morons to fly about with impunity.

There's too much money in Eve Online.
30 billion BS shot down a few days ago, now a 20 bil one... and so what? The people who owned those ships are probably going to grind the money back in no time at all. They're not gonna be that upset over the loss, really - and being upset over loss is what makes Eve PVP exciting. Hell, titan losses hardly matter anymore.
The money pool in Eve is growing exponentially. We need an economic depression, or a drought in asteroid respawns or something. This game was pretty harsh when people had to pull together to build a battleship - it is losing that edge.

Either give me your isk so you can get that feeling of having to grind up for your next ship or shut up and get back to your station spinning granddad ~_~

I see a few flaws: 1: is pointed above: Concord does not provide protection, it provides punishment on the offender. 2: Risk vs reward: fly a cheap missionship, nobody's going to bother suiciding you, fly a ship worth 1/3 of a Titan: get the attraction of every pirate & suicider in a 10 jump radius. All in order here, if a Supercarrier or Titan shows up somewhere all alone, it would also lure every capsuleer in to blast it to pieces. 3: You mission in Irjunen, of all places to mission.... I sometimes mission there, and I can tell this: it has a high suicideganker-rate. To me Irjunen is the Mos Eisley of Eve, ninjasalvagers are the least of your worries there. -------------- Cleaning up wrecks others leave behind! Got to keep space clean! |

QFT i remember doing 2x lvl 1 for days on my old cormorant to gather the 8m the moa was worth those days, now you can get like 20-30m just doing tutorial missions, and a bit more.

Let me get this straight, you "Bitter Vets" keep reminding every noob starting a mining career that the majority of minerals come from mission loot reprocessing or the Drone regions and yet now you want a "Roid Drought"?
OMFG lol
I can also understand the reasons why you want a server reboot to 2005/6 levels. Thats when the GHSC actually did something notorious. Plueese stop living in the past. Yer moaning like a nam vet.

I can see where you are coming from. Your heist many years ago has been an inspiration to many people, including me. Sadly devaluation makes that it pales a little. You'd have to make a trillion isk ***per to make the headlines nowadays.

Ofcourse, highsec is not safe at all, and Concord is here for punishing criminals, but I dont see any punishment at all for criminals in this case. Those guys maybe lost ships worth 200M isk, and got insurance back, but they got more in terms of loot and a very nice killmail.
One could demand on a higher standing loss and ISK punishment (remember: when you try to sneak drugs into highsec you lose ISK if you get caught). How about insurance not paying ISK if you get killed by concord (new insurance terms)?

How about people not flying around in ISK pi±atas that make the punishment negligible by comparison?

Tell the GMs about it. I'm SURE they'll give you your ship back.... /sarcasm.

Your kidding right? I get 2, maybe 3, million per level 3 mission. That's selling the expensive loot and refining the rest.
Too much isk in EVE? Maybe for the vets. But for newer players like me It's still a struggle to build battleships.

You want Ccp to change a Valid game mechanic? Suicide ganking is supposed to be done, you could say the same with Corp thieves the principal is exactly the same both of these are not illegal in the game and as said rightly concord are there to neutralise threats no lock them out instantly. Fr some this is a way of life what would you say if we took you missions away? Or made it so you couldn't make money??? think about it...
