If you're gonna RP it so much, then Concord should "revoke their pilots licence", not "ban" them.
Nice kill though.

30 billion BS shot down a few days ago, now a 20 bil one... and so what? The people who owned those ships are probably going to grind the money back in no time at all. They're not gonna be that upset over the loss, really - and being upset over loss is what makes Eve PVP exciting. Hell, titan losses hardly matter anymore.
The money pool in Eve is growing exponentially. We need an economic depression, or a drought in asteroid respawns or something. This game was pretty harsh when people had to pull together to build a battleship - it is losing that edge.
I will be more than happy to destroy all assets and isk given to me in order to equalize the EVE economy.

However, what is much more unacceptable is that these pirates are perpetuating their crimes for more than a month causing many casualties among innocent mission runners.
Mission runners kill NPC pirates, in defense of NPC empire. Player pirates kill mission runners in support of NPC pirate operations against NPC empire.

I'd like to see more punishment imposed on high-sec ganking. To call having a fully insured ship destroyed by Concord a punishment when it has just taken out a PvE players hard-earned ship and taken half their modules is laughable at best and downright disingenuous at worse.
My suggestions:
1. A drop in standings which cannot start to be recovered for a month after you engaged in a criminal gank.
2. A permanent CONCORD history. Gank once normal concord turns up, gank again a week later they bring even more powerful ships. If I ran concord and I kept on letting ships get destroyed, the next time I'd send a bigger fleet to wipe them out sooner.
3. What I'd term "desperation mode", some kinda feature only available in highsec which, until you fired your weapons, would offline all of your high-slots and drones in return for a boost to defence to allow CONCORD more time to get them off you. Perhaps Concord offer some element of RR to you while under attack.
I think #2 and #3 are the best options here.

Remote rep by concord would be interesting. But only if you do not shoot back at the ganker.
Personally I can't feel bad for someone how spends that much on a ship to run missions. And probably has the isk to build an other one without thinking.

I'm all for that, Sentient Blade, so long as Sansha and Angel NPC vessels spawn in defense of their player support, too.

Agreed, the problem is really something of a quandary, in that a weird sort of inflation exists. ISK has become much more plentiful, but instead of the level of currency rising in accordance with the cost of goods, prices actually fallen. It's become easier to make ISK, and at the same time the prices of items have sometimes stayed the same (HACs) or dropped SIGNIFICANTLY (Cap Recharger IIs and capital ships come to mind). Money is now more plentiful than ever, but conversely prices have dropped since more subscriptions = more supply.
Ask any PVP'er, one of Eve's primary advantage points is that when you lose something, it is LOST, you don't just wake up in your 30bil Kronos in 30 seconds at the nearest shipyard with 10% hull damage. In my opinion, real asset loss = greater game appeal, but the appeal is lost when the significance OF the asset loss is... lost.

Originally by: Luke Hartelse You want Ccp to change a Valid game mechanic? Suicide ganking is supposed to be done, you could say the same with Corp thieves the principal is exactly the same both of these are not illegal in the game and as said rightly concord are there to neutralise threats no lock them out instantly. Fr some this is a way of life what would you say if we took you missions away? Or made it so you couldn't make money??? think about it...
What this guy and many others have said. If CCP wanted to put a stop to suicide ganking in highsec, then concord wouldn't work the way it currently does. You'd just get insta-zapped if you so much as sneezed on an agro module.
Also, pretty amusing that the Kronos pilot didn't even bother with a faction magstab. lol.

That's an incredibly fail fit. Glad to see it was forcibly stripped. You had enough tank on there for two marauders (or more).

just noticed it's actually the OP's ship XD
hey you know what if you gonna spend 20 billion on a ship for missions you deserve to get suicided. what's wrong with a nice fit under 1 bil.
and that 30 billion paladin, such an idiot.. but then again if you have the money to fit a ship that's that expensive, i'm sure you have the money to build 10 more just like it, stop crying..

he must have ran out of isk :)) he was going to buy the faction magstab after that mission lol. props to the pirates and its great that the victom had fitted all that stuff to make his dream mission boat, id rather fit those mods to pve boat than a pvp ship. but why the heck didnt the victom fight back? thats weak...
edit: why are my letters so small? CCP supports this message. I think. |

that was an epic kill
and CONCORD work's fine as is - they are there to punish, no to prevent all player actions that can be used. I you get suicide ganked by a bunch of pirates - they must of been searching for ya. keep your attenton up, aligned to stargate/star/station and finger ready to get you to safety. deny their fun instead of whining.
I doubt that CCP will look at this more.

Flying a ship that is going to be worth much more than the total cost of ships of a group of pirates = BIG DOT ON PIRATE RADAR. I'm also very curious as to how the pirates will spend that money.
