GTC price just rising and soon I will be playing the to PAY.

Deadly Morph	Posted - 2010.10.14 17:02:00 - [1] This sucks, I bought a GTC 2 months ago for 610 mill a 60 day so I thought thats fine im ok with that still sucks seeing how i was paying 180 mill for a 30 day 2 years ago about anyways, now its closing to 800 mill 2 months later!! CCP still makes money off who ever buy the gtc, but now its just keeps going i wonder how long before players will stop playing because they play to Pay! :/

The irony here is that the main reason for the price increase over the years is CCP going and raising the prices of GTCs. Once upon a time we had 30 and 90 day GTCs, and the 90 day ones cost about what the 60 day ones cost now, the free market has little to do with it, the production costs were just increased >_> (PS for those of you who weren't around then: The price of playin eve for a month literally went from 150mil to about 300 in under a month when they did that)

Even for the people who buy thier GTC codes and sell them as PLEX ingame, the price is dictated by the middle man market group.

And the price went from around 170 to around 240. Whoop-tee-doo. Prices are only that high since people are willing to pay it. Pretty soon people will get ****ed with it and their sales will decline, prices will drop and the whole cycle will start over. This isn't the first time, and it won't be the last. Just stock up while the price is low and laugh at whine threads when the price is high.
