No it isn't. Compare it to 0.0 lowsec is less isk and more risk. Am I right or am I right?
no you are not. The rewards are better.

Does any part of this seem familiar to you? Should it ever be true that there are more people flying in Jita than in all of lowsec combined? Does it seem at all odd that there aren't enough people in lowsec to actually have an active pilot in every system? Hell, when I'm online I usually don't see more than half of lowsec populated, and those systems that do have somebody in space are always 1 or 2 pilots (presumably pirate scouts, Invisi-Tengus, or couriers on their way to GTFO of lowsec asap).

Lowsec is the most fun, if you ask me. There's a human element there that is unpredictable. You have to use your brain, get creative with your ship, utilize all the tools you have like your directional scanner. Even in some parts of nullsec you can get away with being lazy sometimes. Lowsec is where you actually learn how to play EvE, and it's a trial by fire. You learn fast or you rage quit. I might not actively seek a fight -- like Dropbear said, being slippery is a form of PvP too. It's not combat, but it's cat and mouse, one game against another. Find what you're looking for and gtho. Be smarter than the other guy. No matter how bad some people wish it would, PvP doesn't stand for Pew versus Pew, it stands for player versus player. Avoiding a fight in a system full of pirates isn't weakness, it's gambling, and risk, and if you do it right, it's intelligence. To me that's sexier than showing up to a gate camp to slug it out. Anyone can do that after one week in New Eden.

Tengu- there's your problem. a T3 ship is simply too juicy a target not to try and kill. Hop into anything else and the danger level goes down exponentially. Most people in low sec are perfectly content to let you go about your business unmolested. -- "Far be it from me to stand in judgment. I prefer to sit." -Stephen Colbert |

With 0.0 you have a pretty large information network of people relaying movements of neutrals and reds. Further more most main entrances are choked off by gate camps where only large fleets or small **** can usually only get through. Thus it makes a whole lot more secure to run in that environment then in 1owsec. Not to mention that in 0.0 you can choose to upgrade systems that are in more secure areas (dead end pipes) and thus place a scout in out lining systems to further negate gankers ability to surprise, because in the end it is the element of surprise which gets a kill.

I think that low sec resources are fine, only thing which isn't is that EvE dont have any "avoid PvP modules" to balance scramblers...
Its nice to have subsystems which enables you to move through bubbles, but there are no bubbles in low sec. Only really tricksy and desperate pirates.
If only players could negate targeted interdiction, low sec would still remain dangerous but worthy of risk.
Anyway, if you are ready for greater risk then 0.0 is real thing, everything is better down there, risk is lower, you are well informed when red or neutrals are near your current location, you can run to (c)tower...so actually if you are not bot, afk or drunk you really have no excuse to be killed while doing PvE in 0.0.
If someone told me oh look there in low sec you can get...I dont know vindicator bpo, just go to location A it will instantly spawn in high sec...you can come in shuttle, I wouldn't.

Woah woah woah... hold up there sparky. I definitely do not want 2000 people in low sec, blobs in 0.0 are bad enough! There are plenty of empty low-sec systems that don't even get ANY traffic. Pirates are not dumb they camp the entrance and exit routes. Once you are past them you are basically home free, safe for the FW blobs (and even then half of them don't know what a prober is).
Low-sec is definitely dangerous, to try and contain pirates even more is to try and exterminate an already dying breed of player.
There are, however, some changes needed to be made to entice more players to enter low-sec instead.

My point being that a big reason for that is lack of targets to pew. And lowsec being 'worth the risk' is a binary state. Either the thousands of players who would go to lowsec if it was worth it are there, or they aren't. So should CCP ever re-engineer lowsec, enjoy the bounty of targets as your local goes to 70+.

FW LVL4 missions can actually be EXTREMELY profitable, far more so than high-sec lvl4's. They are also doable with negligible risk for over 200 mil/hour.

Originally by: Brannor McThife Ok. So if you do exploration, or mission running. It's generally to have PvE fun and make Isk. You fit your ship in such a way as to maximize return with as little (not no) risk.
If you take that ship to low-sec, the risk factor goes up exponentially, while the rewards, do not.
Example. I do exploration in high sec. I occasionally am required to go to low-sec to complete the final stages of escalations for Guristas Vigil and Guristas Watch. Otherwise I don't stand to get what is actually the only worthwhile thing going into low-sec - Faction shield boosters.
When I go there... I fit my Tengu with a COCD and an omni tank...just in case. But I sit there mushing my scan button if ANYONE is in local. You cannot trust ANYONE in lowsec. Of the last 5 or more times that I have been to lowsec, NOT ONCE have I NOT had people try to scan me down. This often starts within 5 minutes of entering a system. But I make safe spots and I sit cloaked...and wait... and wait... and wait... mushing said scanner. But you see, that one possible drop worth 400-500mil makes it the ONLY thing I find worthwhile going to lowsec for. Sometimes I've sat for 20+ minutes waiting for the "bad people" to give up.
Now, you tell me why you would do normal missions, where you'd have to warp out to a safe every few minutes, or try to exploration sites - which they can scan down in under 3 minutes.
Seriously, stay in high-sec, watch for gankers, and make your "safeR" ISK. It's just not worth it going to lowsec and feeding the sharks.
-G
Or you just set up scouts, camp the gates and kill anyone who comes and interupts your mission running/exploration/ratting/mining(lol), its really not that complicated and is what a large proportion of the hundreds of people in lo sec at any given time do.

You can do these things in lowsec too, plus you cannot use bubbles, ive lived in a large 0.0 alliance for over two years, and i am alot safer in low sec.
