No one here is saying that at all.
Just trying to reason with those who obsess about everyone around them being a macro user, and stretch the limits of what a macro is capable of to accomodate this delusion.

Just my 2 cents on this, didn't investigate nor will I investigate.
I already told 'em. Their tinfoil hats must be covering their eyes. Im waiting for the accusations that im one of these macroers lol

Sarcasm?
All client-side checks can be circumvented with virtualization or a hacked client. And I doubt CCP has any sort of server-side check for multiple trials on same IP, because there can legitimately be several players behind the same IP.
Where I'm located I haven't seen them use Magnates, but mostly Bestowers and Mammoths. Yesterday I slaughtered 20 in front of the station in Ingunn and more of them just kept docking and undocking like nothing's happened. And I actually made some profit from all the T2 cargo expanders. :P
Personally, I do think macros are bad for the game, but instead of blaming macro users I blame the game itself. If macros are being used it means one or more of the following things are wrong with the game: 1) gameplay is too easy 2) risks are too small 3) it's too static, so that there's not enough decision making 4) economy is flawed. If a resource is being heavily exploited, its value should go down. 5) players are not given enough automation features to compete with macros

Given the large quotient of Geek on these forums I think its fair to say this is of course completely true.
Its academic to spoof (or just clone/create random) ip's and mac addresses. Nat & use VPN etc. If you didn't want CCP to know and had even basic bedroom networking and/or bash knowledge, they never would.
Main reason why 'old school' perceptions of what macro users represent (ie some kind of insignificant minority) and the lengths they had to go to (traditionally absurd/extreme) in order to profit before being 'caught' are obsolete. Hence the growing frustration as more become aware of just how easy it has become to circumvent the EULA.

I wouldn't dare to use sarcasm in a thread as serious as this.

Indeed. Locks exist to keep honest people honest. Locks aren't going to keep dishonest people out, if they're persistant enough. - Paknac Queltel

Trial accounts can't station trade. Trial accounts can't create contracts.
One easy way (which also happens to be hard to observe) would be for the trial to meet the pimp at a safespot and jet a pile of morphite or something. Only CCP or someone extremely quick with scan probes could possibly observe that.
Oh and the trial account limitation may very well be a client side check. There's plenty of rumour of stripped down or hacked clients around so I doubt farmers are running the full fat client for their ops. All they'd need is an overview really. |

There are hundreds of unused stations in highsec. Pimp daddy puts up an order for some rarely bought item for big money, trial account buys it.
I thought of that pretty much instantly. I'm sure if I gave it time, I could think of plenty more.
Props to Ash for immediately jumping on the AHA MACROS DO NOT EXIST bandwagon. More hilarity. Yeah, guys, I'm sure there's plenty of reason all these trial accounts keep running courier missions in identical fits that is perfectly legitimate.

About 1 trillion isk a day enters eve: http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1401431&page=3#67
So it would takes about 1000 of these guys to make a 1% difference.
Ive once saw an article (somewhere) mentioning an isk seller who ran 8 computers, 4 clients each, by hand (not macro). Someone doing that would most likely use identical ships with identical names doing identical tasks. So these magnates could be macros, but they might not. This is why its so hard for CCP to swing the ban bat.
But most likely they are making isk that is intended to be sold. Not good. Maybe we just need better efforts to stop RMT. If no one buys their isk, they will stop farming it, either by multi-box or macro.
