How would one go about valuing T1 BPC's? Obviously you can just check out the competition and use similar prices, but there has to be some sort of formula or logic to the price of a BPC, and so far I haven't thought of one yet.
Anyone who has this knowledge?

Well there realy is not official formula to valuate your bpc. Checking out competition is one way, some just deside some numbers based on how long it takes on pos lab, etc.... How ever structures you might want to divide as cost over large number of bpc, etc...
Logic side: Take consideration all cost related to makeing that bpc and work from there.... If your useing pos, then pos fuel is cost, structures are cost, etc...

As a rough rule, look at the profit to be earned from producing the item from the bpc, then price somewhere between 25-75% of that profit.
Thats for something that people are going to produce from though(such as battleships). If you are going to produce max run module BPCs to try and sell to inventors the price really is more whatever the market will take. The NEW M.Corp Data Hub - Check it out! |

Depending on bpo you wish to copy and time taken in pos/fuel.
Ya also gotta considor the research level of bpo and amount of raw material saved by ME level, this effects price.
Lets look at rupture bpc at ME 34, total wastage is 9.9k, at ME 0 total wastage is 395.2k this is giving you a saving of 5 to 6 mil in raw materials for a max run copy of 15.
Now i normal base my sell cost on isk saving due to ME lvl for max run copy.
No ones gonna buy it, if ya sell it at max saving as theirs no profit/savings for the person using bpc to build said item, also worth searching contracts to see what other peeps are selling at.

As others have mentioned, there are many ways to figure the cost of a BPC. However, all the formulas and math in the world won't help you when everyone else will sell them for practically nothing.
