I am delighted that Chribba has chosen to support the ideal of Free Space. This will make 9UY the second system in Providence to be Free Space along with YWS0, and Unity Station the second Free Port along with TAZ Norlonto.
I hope you have the courage and conviction, Chribba, to hold this course when your neutrality it tested as it surly will be by others with their own agendas.

This move on Chribbas side will certainly prove interesting. The end of the year will probably herald return of CVA to Providence, and I think it will make it increasingly hard for Chribba to maintain a neutral stance. We'll see what the future holds. Fun times are ahead.
shouldn't be a problem, CVA are NRDS.

So were Ushra'Khan, and so is Star Fraction.
Officially, Chribba is a non-factor CVA right now. We have a lot of concerns of our own and he exists well outside our focus or influence. We are happy to leave him neutral (as he has always been to my knowledge) unless and until our interests become mutually self-defeating. I'm sure we're just as much outside his scope of interest at the moment as he is outside of ours.
I personally wish him well in his venture. If CVA finds continued success in Providence, I hope we can find more common ground between our organizations. That's a matter for the future, though.

Chribba,
You have had your license as long as i have and you know the history of 'neutrality' in EvE. Many before you claimed this vaunted role, and while you have the reputation, you will inevitably become embroiled in a conflict that will ruin that reputation you have built up and possibly force you to make choises you do not want to make. Sometimes not taking sides is taking a side.
I am sure you have thought about this long and hard, but, are you sure you want this?

Hiya, I have spent time thinking yeah, and neutrality to me when it comes to the system and station is - keeping it open to everyone - and rather "fall" than taking sides.
So I guess the future will tell if New Eden wants a neutral holder there or not

This is true, and I do not foresee Chribba or CVA engaging each other directly. However, if CVA are able to secure the region, I can see how Chribba's outpost might create problems for operation deliverence if Pirates or CVAs enemies began using the outpost as a staging point for launching attacks on Providence, and it is likely that CVA would take it if they ever regain their previous foothold on the region.

I actually think that CVA and Chribba could easily realize that they are natural allies. On the other hand CVA will probably try to impose their Amarr Victor attitude on Chribba and that can create a lot of problems for his plans if he doesn't comply. It should also be noted that established alliances don't really care about Chribba's reputation and his's project could easily fail if Providence unites under one determined ruler.

Part of chribba owning 9uy is that he has the full support of everyone in providence.
It's a mutual beneficial relationships for all of us. It would take a pretty large "kiddy corp" |

Actually this is a bit wrong. Agony has had a freeport in H6-CX8(H6 Agony FREEPORT) open for some time. I believe Chribba's is the 3rd.

As a supporter of NRDS in general, I'm delighted by this news, although I'm concerned that this project will ultimately stumble because of 9UY being virtually surrounded by NBSI alliances (what's stopping BDEAL, for example, from just roaming through and killing anyone around the system), and having no neutral-friendly routes to Providence. As H6 is also already a freeport, perhaps whoever controls Y-MP could be convinced to allow neutrals safe passage from Kari, which would provide a highsec empire link to 9UY.
Otherwise, it seems like any freeport not bordering empire directly would have a hard time surviving without secure routes to and from empire space.
Best of luck to you, Chribba, and here's hoping for CVA's continued success in reclaiming the region and making it once again a bastion of freedom and commerce.

Aye, 2nd best option occured, a perfectly neutral station in Providence, 1st option obviously being it in the hands of CVA or some other competent (truly) NRDS alliance. Freeports are excellent, but obviously even better are stations that will not permit pirates to dock, and thus making the life of pirates and NBSI forces harder.
Until the day comes when Providence will be goverened by (true) NRDS once again, I wish Chribba and the 9UY station venture all the best, and I will make sure to dock up there at least to smell the atmosphere! : )
Long live a New Eden free from NBSI, tyranny and piracy! Honour and Decency!

Hi there,
Just a curious question, mostly out of interest... Is it possible to make updates about how it's going down there? Politically, financially, you name it, anything you'd want to put energy in really. Through mailing lists or something?
Thanks in advance for, well, any answer.

I'm curious Codo as to what you mean by 'true' NRDS. CVA, Star Fraction, Electus Matari, the list goes on all are NRDS the only main differences being faction affiliation and political agendas ignoring the variation of polcies. If you mean an completely unbiased version of NRDS there has never been one in Providence and probably never will.
Chribba is probably the closest we'll ever see however even he has an agenda. (Access to larger Veldspar asteroids perhaps?)

While I cant speak for Codo, I think he means something else than the polical affiliation, there is another very large difference. CVA enforses NRDS by acting as police. Meanwhile SF is more the Swiss, as long as they are not targetted they do not care much what is going on in their space (ignoring they dont see it as their space with the whole anarchy stuff).
So i think he means the difference between enforced and non-enforced NRDS, which is actually the main difference between SF and CVA for most outsiders.

With true NRDS I mean the NRDS that really cares. NRDS that doesn't befriend NBSI groups because they realize in that doing so, they take sides to and mingle with NBSI energies. From where I stand true NRDS also implies you have a conscience about acting responsibly in our large world. But many call themselves NRDS, such as the Star Fraction, but they have NBSI friends, and because of their political views they are basically enemies of all the 4 major empires.
It is a very good question formulated by Grr, but I think in the very end, to sum it up, what I mean with "true" NRDS, its the NRDS with a conscience and a good heart, the NRDS that will not look between the fingers with acts of agression against the innocent neutral capsuleer of New Eden. The NRDS that embraces grounded basic common sense. You may feel I am circumventing logic, but I believe that NRDS is the biggest hope for our galaxy. Call me a romantic if you wish. : ) ___________________

Just to clarify a few more things.
1st, Yes BDEAL and others will continue to kill anyone in and/or around 9uy.. Risk=Reward situation. However, We have agreed not to kill on the station. We will not bubble the station, and camp it.
2nd, Part of the benefit for chribba holding the station is that several if not all of the provi alliances have given him mutual blues. He, as well as his army of alts have free passage to and from the station to supply the market. And do whatever it is chribba wants to do.
I think there is a large army of noobs out there who think that it's impossible to get anything done in a NBSI world. It's rather easy. They make these ships called jump freighters, There are also blockade runners. The ability to use scout's. Many Many options for getting to the port.
There is a great demand in providence for pew pew related supplies. From all alliances. The real question is who has the balls to capitalize on it. Easy Co. |

I'm considering setting up shop in that area for trade. Will the provi residents help keep bubbles off the station? I understand that perhaps there's an agreement with some of the Provi residents to NOT bubble the station, but what about the outsiders? Will you keep them from bubbling the station even if they're your friends, and act as a police force for keeping the station clear?

I would agree with you in principle that this is true. However, since AGONY does not blue many capsuleer organizations, getting in and out of that station is fun in and of itself.
They will shoot you if given the opportunity. I doubt Chribba's army of alts will aggress anyone entering system. H6 is perma-bubbled at most planets and if they see you entering station they will wait for you to exit as well.
So while the station environment is a 'free port' the exterior environment is not nearly as hospitable. Mind you, I'm not complaining as it just makes it that much more fun to buy small mobile warp disruptors in station, pop out and then set them up just outside of station. >:)
I think AGONY is a great organization and applaud them for their prowess in battle. I want to wish Chribba the best of luck and prosperity in his new home. May he, and all that frequent the station, Profit.
