Wtf is ccp smokin'? Gallente? It looks nothing like a Gallente design.
Also, so apparently, there's going to be two new Minmatar ship, a new Gallente ship that should be Caldari... and the other two races get nothing? The other ships listed on the bottom of the Tornado's image has me scratching my head on that one.

First off, if Minmatar got two new ships and gallente got one and no one else got any that would be... insane?
Is CCP insane? Have they ever made such a poor choice such as that would be? No. That is not a concern that is real that is a paranoid concern.
Secondly, the Naru Kami looks like a Jovian ship IMO, but it certainly does not look Caldari in the SLIGHTEST. Caldari ships are not nearly as smooth or curved, not even close. It looks more Gallente than anything else.

If anything, I'd say it was solely an Achura design. It doesn't have any of the organic flow of Gallente ships. Change the color and it could maybe pass as Amarr, but still a little too industrial looking for Amarr. And well, I see no ductape, so it can't be Minmatar.

The Naru-Kami doesn't fit any race in EVE.
They're only putting the 1st place winner into the game, the Tornado.

That does not make it a ship for each race. I fly Caldari but cant fly Sansha ships because I didn't train Amarr. Not to mention...Sansha ships look like ass...nobody wants to fly them and thats why nobody does.

Are you talking about the Sansha ships we already have? That in turn are already balanced out by the OTHER pirate faction ships? Or are you talking about the Sansha mom I heard about? Or are there some other Sansha ships coming that I don't know about...

Sansha ships don't suck 
Nightmare and Phantasm are great, I can't speak for the Succubus though. It's too damned ugly for me to fly, looks like a VS beetle or something. Wish ccp would remodel it.

Even if it is just the one mom that's a pretty big bonus to people with those 2 factions trained.

As someone already stated, the only one getting put in the game is the Tornado, the others just won prizes for coming in the top 3. Some of us were discussing this in EVE-RADIO tonight and another player pointed out that the Tornado might be one of a new set of battleships.
Now it doesn't seem likely that these will be T3 as there was no mention of multiple module sections required in the design so a few of us worked out that CCP may well have already designed 4 new Tier 3 BS, one for each race, and that the winning ship design in this contest would replace whichever model CCP had already designed.
We could be wrong but it seems like as valid an idea as any that the rest of the community have come up with.

Maybe the new contest they hinted at will call for people to design the Amarr, Gallente, and Caldari counterparts to the Tornado. That would be pretty rad.

Dear op, for it to qualify as a caldari battle ship of any type, it must be able to be re-created using legos. The Naru-kunni does not fit that. therefore with its smooth sleek design and shineyness it is gallente. PS look at the myrmidon and hyperion pre trinity graphics. gallente was really shiney

I think the Naru Kami looks more Caldari then it does Gallente but really its not a shining example of either. As I stated several times on DA during this contest...
This was a perfect chance for CCP to introduce a new "race" of ships. Similar to what ORE is for industry these could be combat styled with no particular tie to the 4 races in design. More advanced line of ships with everything from Frigates to Capitals only requiring much more advanced skills and a mix of race skills to fly them.
I know we already have ships like this. But imagine a Battleship that requires BS 5 from all 4 races to pilot it but also has the best of Armor, Shield, Missiles, Beams, Drones...you name it...it does it. And wicked powerful and hard to kill to boot.
Just sayin...would be sweet.

Not quite.
While flying a Vexor, try to center your camera DIRECTLY behind it... you'll then notice that the top right side of the Vexor is slightly "thicker" and that the top thrusters are just a wee bit off center to the left.
Even the Abaddon is slightly asymmetrical... though, in a VERY subtle way. While flying it, look at it from above, then look at the thruster fire... you'll notice that fire on the left "main" thruster is slightly longer than the other flames.

Yeah, there's some sort of pod on there that's like... hell, a sensor pod or the missile bay or **** all.
That having been said, I know it's been mentioned, but only the Tornado is getting shoved in. And, in a strange twist of fate, the Tornado entry made mention of an equivalent BS for the other three races... so Pattern Clarc gets to design those too just to make things even, because otherwise all the Gallente/Amarr/Caldari people will cry.
EDIT: on topic, I'm not quite sure what race the Naru-Kami is from, but the creator clearly intended it to be Caldari, hence the Japanese name and the color palette. The front end looks Amarrian... actually, now that I think about it, it looks like a Providence freighter with modified ventral and dorsal superstructure. Or hell, a sea-going battleship IN SPACE.
