1. DRONE UI revamp (mock-up image) - in Player Features and Ideas Discussion [original thread]
titan Maricadie wrote: Could we get a red border around the icon when the drones are engaging? Yeah, there would need to be at least 3 animated overlays to let you know what the drones are doing - idle/orbiting, returning, or attacking. I fo...

2. DRONE UI revamp (mock-up image) - in Player Features and Ideas Discussion [original thread]
Edited the latest version of the mockup. Simplified some stuff, and added in some new suggestions and ideas. Pretty happy with it now. I can see why CCP has not yet tried to give us this sort of control over drones, they are a bit more complex tha...

Edited OP with new version: Mock-up v3 - Returned the drone list window. - Instead of starting drone modules off to the left of ship controls, you enable them from the options in the drone list window and they spawn onto your module slots. - C...

But you can see which drones are damaged, and release only ones that are not damaged. You mouse over the grey launcher icon thing, you get the drone list to pop up, and as long as your cursor is over the list of drones it is not going to go away. ...

8. DRONE UI revamp (mock-up image) - in Player Features and Ideas Discussion [original thread]
I did not expect so many people to suggest grouping drones into stacks, this is interesting. Are most people who want to do this thinking about piloting capital ships with 10 drones? Because with 5 drones I personally don't see the need. I can hit...

Edited image with what I think Ralph King-Griffen was suggesting: Mock-up V2 It's probably a bit tidier. I suppose the existing ring-menu currently in game could be shrunk down and fitted around the drone slot, but it's currently loaded with uni...

10. DRONE UI revamp (mock-up image) - in Player Features and Ideas Discussion [original thread]
I think I see what you mean. That would be better, it would keep the pop-ups from covering up the modules in the lower rows, and would work fine whether the ship controls are at the top or bottom of the screen. Hmmm... think I might have to try dr...

11. DRONE UI revamp (mock-up image) - in Player Features and Ideas Discussion [original thread]
Basically I really want to use F1-F5 to control my drones individually, the same way guns and missiles can be assigned to attack individual targets. If I am in my Ishtar running a Guristas Scout Outpost or a level 4 mission and I deploy my Garde...

Can the pin icon change depending on whether or not something is pinned? Take the dot out of the center of the icon when it is not pinned? Might seem silly but sometimes I have a hard time telling if a window is pinned or not now, due to high tran...

lol. Too anti-aliased I guess. The website didn't give the icons in vector format and I had to shrink them down a bit. I can see how rounded icons can end up looking a little Fisher Price but the super-squared-edged icons look cheap to me.

I think the Gila would look much more badass if they lopped off the nose, and maybe doubled up the wings and put the thrusters on the ends of them. Something like this: Photoshopped Gila More brawly looking.
