So its ccp's fault you have all your slots full of characters and a feature designed to make sure people have a cool down period before they kill of a character who took months/years to train up, because you want something now and are going to drop to the floor and cry and throw a temper tantrum.
Ok so let's take that away, not the petitions will be filled with drunk idiots all wanting to get there deleted characters back, and then there will be people like you who will never be happy then delete one of their characters the rage on the forums how there should be a system in place to keep yourself from your own stupidity.
How about stop acting like a child ( unless you are one then carry on, but please let your parents know you have their CC info ) and STFU. Get over it its 10 hours, your losing more than that by deleting your character.

Also, why dont you understand that starting over the the single dumbest thing you can do in this game? There is no penalty for having skills trained and no way to regain those skills on a new character any faster than you did before. It's a pretty dumb move.
If you wanna feel like you started over, just take one of those characters, empty their wallet, trash their assets, and knock yourself out.

Always keep 2 characters biomass ready. This also helps if you all of a sudden have an oportunity to spy or scam and you have to do it on that account. api ect

I understand your frustration. Do not let these forum warriors who believe, their way is the only way, get you down. There can be different reasons why someone would want to start a fresh character. I created a fresh character when I returned. You wonder why? I had lost that loving feeling. Not to mention, I hate having skills that do not "fit" the idea of the character. Also, I had decided to play a Caldari. Et cetera and so forth...
The point is, everyone has a reason that many of you may not understand. So what? Calling someone an idiot just shows how immature you really are.

OP is really a nice example of someone affected by the "Client Syndrome" 
1. Find a situation that no one would ever find themself into, but that might be the source of some problems.
2. Make sure people understand that you spent MONEY, even if it's just 20 cents.
3. Cry hard at the company about not being able to provide the service you're PAYING for! And this is totally unacceptable, you're the god damn client. Evert employee should be bowing in front of you to satisty all your demands : You gave them MONEY, they're your *****es!

Holy cow the amount of nerdrage and fantardism in this thread is amazing. Holy F*** you guys are almost as bad as (other mmo) forum fanboys.
Immediately someone who has a complaint is a troll, a noob etc... no amount of justified complain one could make would change the fact that some of you are just going to jump in an attack frenzy...it s amazing.
Well no I am not a troll. I had a legitimate complaint because I was not able to start over on my account...so I made a trial account and have been playing it since yesterday. Maybe when I feel comfortable I will jump back on my main. But right now I am trying to relearn the outrageous UI and how and where to find stuff. I understand that for most of you I am just whining. So be it I am whining sorry for that. I had to vent yesterday.

Thing is that Eve isn't WoW where when you come back on your level 80 char after a break you only have high level stuff to do because even a naked healer will 1-shot lower stuff with barehands. in Eve you can just go back to some high sec noob area and do noobie stuff again in a noobie ship.
So creating a new char to "learn" how to play again did sound a bit weird. But wanting to delete an existing char to do so just sounded stupid 
Esc / Reset Settings => lets you get the tutorial windows
F12 / show career agents => do some noobie tutorial missions again (pretty sure you do some from different agents than you used last time you played - if not then just do some level 1 missions, there won't be much difference)

If you don't want to deal with people calling BS, then perhaps you should stick to official support channels. You'll notice a selection of items in the left navbar under the "EVE SUPPORT" header. Plenty of help to be found there, and none of the "OMGTROLL" nonsense.
That said, I personally think you acted like a fool, and are continuing to do so. However, you'll find I'm at least trying to be helpful (and not rude) about it.
