Someone please explain to me how as basically a player who has forgotten how to play and has three characters am I supposed to wait 10 hours now so that one of my characters is deleted so I can play. Really please what the hell is the reason for this. I am unable to play the other two toons as I need to redo all trainings from scratch and you are telling me that I am forced to wait 10 hours? Awesome marketing guys. Great system you have there it really motivates me to want to play and I don t feel I am being given the finger whatsoever. Why the fark didn t I create a freaking new account instead seriously, this would have avoided a lot of anger and blood pressure issues. God damit I am ready to ask for a refund right now

There is no reason to start over now, UNLESS you have terrible reputation with your characters (or used your remap on charisma and wasted your fast training on crap).

I will mail you a quarter I have sitting 2 feet from me on my desk if you stop friggin whining. Also, why dont you understand that starting over the the single dumbest thing you can do in this game? There is no penalty for having skills trained and no way to regain those skills on a new character any faster than you did before. It's a pretty dumb move. Anyway...again thanks for the pokes most of what has been responded to you was mostly non-constructive because you are complaining about a mechanic that has a different purpose other than the one you are complaining about obviously its not a good idea to put in a 10 hr timer fo the sake of halting the player's request or action, its simply a precaution. And no your double check "Are you sure?" idea doesn't work either you have any idea how many drunk concording have happened cause someone ignored that message? Many times people click over those without thinking The 10 hour timer is in place to ensure that the decision is one they really want to make as many of the other above have stated, is a big one to make considering that you have existing chars to use Your complaint i figure is on the same base as the 30 second session change timer, but again this has a purpose. It's been said by a dev that the timer is cause EVE is made to still work on dial-up, the timer levels the playing field for those with a slower connection. and a big FYI, you can redo al the tutorials on an existing character and still get all the rewards, except fro the skill u get for just reading the tutorial, bot those you should have already.... -------------------------------------------------- The drake is a lie

Therefore you are CHOOSING to take the same cooldown period on biomassing that every other player takes. What makes you so damn special that you think you should be immune to a standard game mechanic? And if you really can't remember how to play to the point that you want to start again why not a) actually start again on a new account, if you're deleting ALL the characters without touching them it's no different, or b) delete two of them and while you're waiting use the time re-familiarise yourself with basics and transfer your assets.

Playing devils advocate here. It depends on how long he has been playing, and how long he has played each character. He may be wanting to start over with a "fresh" character so that people won't presume that he already knows what it is he is doing. Regardless of the number of failmails and honor tankers out there, people tend to presume that a character which is multiple years old knows what he is doing. Apologies to the fanboys Thing is that Eve isn't WoW where when you come back on your level 80 char after a break you only have high level stuff to do because even a naked healer will 1-shot lower stuff with barehands. in Eve you can just go back to some high sec noob area and do noobie stuff again in a noobie ship. So creating a new char to "learn" how to play again did sound a bit weird. But wanting to delete an existing char to do so just sounded stupid Esc / Reset Settings => lets you get the tutorial windows F12 / show career agents => do some noobie tutorial missions again (pretty sure you do some from different agents than you used last time you played - if not then just do some level 1 missions, there won't be much difference) _ Mining Crystal BPOs Angel Ships
