Using only generic (meta0) modules and rigs, what is the best T1 cruiser fit you can come up with for PVP? No faction mods or ships pls.

With some basic e-war support skills this can easily put most ships out of the fight, it jams at almost 100km, a great way for a complete rookie to get into PvP.
The medium neut and assault missiles give it a reasonable defense against being tackled.

I used something similar. I replaced the TD with a small cap boost with navy 400's and used 4 Nuets(unrigged). It almost killed a Myrm, I shiped up and took it down with my Cane(Riged CDSE's).
She was a fun lil boat.

I still fly mine but with T2/meta4 mods. I swap a web for a second TD, add scripts and run 3:1 neut to nos ratio. I love flying the YARRRbitrator.

The td arby is a sex beef sandwhich. I still snicker at the number of matar pilots who under-estimate just how ****ed they are for engaging one. And I enccourage you to take the step up to a curse when you can, it makes the minmatar even more miserable.

Having fought many small gang fights and duels in t1 cruisers, I would say there is no clear winner. The arbitrator and rupture have been mentioned, and I would add that the small hybrid vexor is awesomesauce too. And all except the arbi stand a good chance of being toasted by a medium ecm-drone thorax. For larger gang fights then yeh the t1 BB is good (I've always gone for a 800mm plate/mwd/cap battery fit) but of course it sucks for 1v1. If pushed I'd vote for the arbi, certainly against a rupture.

For effective, nothing is likely to beat the Arbitrator. For flat out murder when you just want a fun evening, I like the Thorax.

The OP didn't state anything about solo, just PvP I still stand by that fit, it can be very effective even in the hands of a total rookie with low skills, all other t1 low SP cruiser setups are basically cannon fodder.

Well... The AML Caracal is always fun to tote about low-sec. And it's a cheap loss as well.. This fit is obviously a lot better with T2 mods, but here goes.

Actually, it should cause some heat damage. At least rise the heat-o-meters, without actually damaging mods, until he does overload, which then explode the heat-induced damage, like.

What kind of pvp ?
For fleet stuff I would go with Blackbird with 1600 mm plate, signal dist. amp, mwd sensor booster and 4 racial jammers and empty high slots.

Since flying a TD only Arbi is a great Idea fighting the most popular ship in game now, the Drake.
Lol Ruppy is generally considered the best T1 Cruiser for out and out brawling, can it be beat yes of course eve is Rock paper Scissors, but the ships that can beat it will die to a ton of other ships.
Vexxor has a chance cs the Ruppy but the Rup can kill its drones.
Arbi with TD`s is ok verse it but will melt to any missile or any ship that is setup for long range since its tracking matters not at that range, Oh forgot to mention Drones will eat it alive.
By asking what is best Cruiser you are asking what Cruiser is best in most situations, and that is the Ruppy. A TD Arbi is a niche ship at best, good luck on the approach to your target
