Greetings fellow star-faring pilots, how goes your ventures into the deep unknown? Prosperous, I hope. By looking at this thread I am going to assume one of the following:
1) You are tired of flying solo
2) You are tired of an inactive corp
3) You are tired of losing ISK in PvP
If one of those three apply to you, Unchained Potential might just be for you. We are the resurrection of an old active pvp/pve combat corp, with virtually the same leadership, and resources. Unchained Potential is a corp where maturity takes precedence over most other character traits and flaws. We don't put up with childish, high school bull****. If you are making the atmosphere un-enjoyable for rest of us, you will be kicked, beaten, and/or podded, in no particular order. With that being said, we are generally more laid back, outside of battle comm's, which only are called on roams. We generally hang out in vent, go about our business, and have a fun, laid-back atmosphere.
The corporation previously supported a ship replacement program, and will again in the future starting with the hit of incursion, as we must build back up the corp wallet to support an active pvp division. With that being said, our tax will not be too heavy, and although we used to sport a 0% tax, we now have been forced to raise it to 10%. Ship replacement will be a viable solution soon, I promise.
We generally run pvp roams through low sec (hunting/pirating along the way). If you are stoically against pirating, this corp probably isn't for you. We will pull GCC on occasion, and we will camp gates from time to time. We don't do it every night, and we don't solely pirate, but there are instances where we do.
We are willing to train new players to pvp. UP welcomes players from all walks and aspects of the Eve universe. Our standing requirements are as follow:
1) Microphone with ventrilo. (Ventrilo is a free voice program that can be downloaded from www.ventrilo.com)
2) Non-trial account. Must have your primary/main character/account as an active sub. If you are in trial but are absolutely positive you will be activating, convo a director and explain.
3) Age 16+ or a high amount of maturity.
4) Plans to play semi-actively.
We do not cal for mandatory ops, but we do ask that people participate when they are able. It generates you ISK, the corp ISK, and helps the overall social atmosphere of UP. Ventrilo is required for all ops.
We have every intent to within the next 6 months, establish a core group of players, around 20 players or so, and move into an alliance in null sec. So if you NEVER want to visit 0.0, UP probably wouldn't be for you. We will move down, it's just a matter of getting a user base now.
I don't want to sound like a stickler for rules and whatnot, because really we aren't. We're a bunch of guys and gals that want to sit down, take a load off, and play a game. If we eff up someone else's day (outside of corp) in the process, then mission accomplished. We honor all ransoms, and if you do not honor a ransom as one of our members you will be expelled immediately. I don't give a **** about your e-peen, someone else's e-peen, or my e-peen, but we would like to keep a semi-decent name in New Eden.
Our main Timezone is U.S. GMT -4 to GMT -7, but we will welcome anyone from any timezone.
I cannot reiterate enough that we DO help out newer players. Eve is a very complex game compared to most MMO's to date, and therefore it requires a great deal more intuition and intellectual base to play. We have compiled several sources of our own (Guides written by members, as well as our own Wiki) that will help newer players, or any player in general, get into pvp/pve. If you are a vet or a noob, it makes no difference to us so long as you are willing to listen and to help your corp.

This sounds like an interesting corp, I'm a demi-active player looking for a corp that is easy going and able to accommodate a player that is active 4-5 times/days a week but rarely all 7.
