Hi. Few months ago my buddy created a corp for me with enough stands to put a pos in highsec (about 7-8.0 caldari and amarr) Everything was fine until I decided to take a break and come back few months later. I unsubbed all my accounts, including accounts with characters from in my alt corp. Now I look at my corp using corp search and... I lost all of my faction standings EXCEPT some weird concord assembly stand and about 40 random npc corporation stands.
The question is, how?
My alt corp characters dont have any faction standing so it's something else. I found on wiki that unsubbed characters stop influenting corp standings, but it still doesn't make any sense as my alt corp has that concord assembly stand (it's a faction apparently) and some weird corporation standings. Maybe CCP changed something in Tyrannis?
Anyone got an idea? Thanks.

A corporation standing is calculated from the individual member standings.
I guess your buddy created the corp for you, then he leaved the corp. Then the standing what he was giving to the corporation vanished. And only the current members standing is calculated.
Usually if someone is creating a corporation for high sec POS, then you join the corp, and he leaves the corporation, then you have max 1 week time to install the POS. After one week the standing will reflect the corp members standing and most cases that is not sufficient for POS installation.
You need to be in the corp for 7 days until the standing is added to the corp standing. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Shields are like pants, they're supposed to come off. Armor is like the condom once its gone ur ****ed |

Nope, that's not it. Corp standings are calculated only from ''contributing'' members - members that have different than 0.0 (neutral).
Besides, none of my alts has faction standing.
Thanks for answer though, keep em coming :)

It was changed from gradual 25% shifts towards mathematical average of non-zero members to instant switch to that value directly, but only for characters that have been in the corp for 7 downtimes or longer (less than 7 days and it's as if you're not in the corp). Some weird combination of circumstances might have resulted in what you see now. _

I know about that change, but none of my alts has any faction standings and corp standings just... disappeared, except that Concord Assembly. It can't be my chars' fault - standings aren't calculated of 'zero members' as you call them.
I think I'm going to petition this tomorrow...

Edited by: Breaker77 on 06/11/2010 22:45:32 If you have even ran the starter tutorial missions then your character will have standings.
I had this happen with an alt that showed no standings towards anyone. After a petition, it was shown that he had standings. However due to rounding on the chatacter info screen and show info, they showed as 0 even though there were standings.
Kind of like how I received a message telling me that
"You can not anchor the gallente control tower as it requires standings of 7.0 with gallente federation. Your current standings are 7.0"
I had to do enough missions to get another storyline for my true standings to be above 7.0 as what the character info shows doesn't count.
edit: I just checked the character you posted with. He has 10 standings with a starter agent, therefore if he was in the corp it will have reset all your standings.

Edited by: Lsorn on 07/11/2010 08:39:10 Still doesn't make any sense.
1. I didn't run any tutorial missions (not 100% sure about this, but... 2. Even if i DID run tutorial missions, my standings would change after 1 week, and i had correct standings for 3-4 months while i was active in game (before my break) 3. I also don't understand what agent standings have to do with my faction standings, please explain. Thought they are separate.
I just checked all my alts' standings again, and what you say might be true, because i apparently RAN some missions on one of my alts, as i got -0,24 Gallente Fed standings (it's a faction). Problem is, my corp should have -0,24/3 Gallente Fed standings, and it doesn't have any. Plus, my corp has got that Concord Assembly standing and none of my chars even heard about this faction.
e: I just remembered, all new characters get 10.0 standings towards tutorial agent by default, so what you're saying makes even less sense.
